He was doing something good.
He was doing something good.
Even if we know/think that there are better anti viruses than Norton, from a professional standpoint (it was his job) it still isn't right to delete a customer's programs (even if they suck)
Figures.. well, thanks for the help.
You say it like you didn't see:
No it won't. You can convert FAT32 to NTFS, but not the other way around Assume your external is drive F: To convert your drive, open a command prompt and type convert F: /fs:ntfs Of course, back up your stuff first if possible and don't interrupt the process.
When you see it... You may ask the same thing I did.

Why are they practically encouraging piracy?
Why are they practically encouraging piracy?
What about steam? Download rates would matter for it right?
125 MB video game this screenshot was taken in 1999
Because EVERY decent game made in the last few years is gigantic in file size
Because EVERY decent game made in the last few years is gigantic in file size
no, but all the decent mainstream games are
You say it like you didn't see:
Just did the conversion, you were right. Go figure. V:v:V
Glad to have helped.

My mom insists leaving Firefox open in the background is dangerous (security-wise) and always makes me close it. I know it's a weak thing but I just found it kinda interesting. Also my dad paid for Norton and insists it's the best antivirus.
Even if we know/think that there are better anti viruses than Norton, from a professional standpoint (it was his job) it still isn't right to delete a customer's programs (even if they suck)
She told him to make her computer fast again. In those days I remember Norton taking up 100% of the cpu. Besides it was expired. A long time ago when I was to young to to trusted to fix our pcs my dad would bring it to a local guy to get it cleaned out and repaired junk like that. This fucking guy un-installed everything shit like MSN ICQ Napster shit that he wouldn't use himself but that's all we used it for. He would then install his own shit that we would never use. Even though I was really young I was tasked with the job to remove all the shit he put on our pc and install the shit we needed. [editline]12:38AM[/editline] Oh yeah and bestbuy formatted my harddrive even though I just needed a new lcd for my laptop and the same when I needed a new charger.
Oh yeah and bestbuy formatted my harddrive even though I just needed a new lcd for my laptop and the same when I needed a new charger.
Why the fuck! ARRRRGHGTHTGTHGHRRGRHHG!!!! Seriously why do they fucking need to wipe out the entire fucking drive for a dead LCD or Battery! I need to find the person who decided that was a good idea and prevent him from reproducing, with a sledgehammer.
There's a reason I hate bestbuy.
After reading this thread I'm glad my dad is the reason I'm "computer savvy".
^I'm glad my parents listen to mewhen I tell them what to do. They have Chrome and AVG :neckbeard: I'm proud of them. [editline]11:37PM[/editline] Goddamn iPhone keyboard. I need to get a bluetooth keyboard
Not really illiteracy, but this just happened to me.
In the form of the Visa commercials: Installing an old formatted hard drive and worried that it will boot it- panic attack It works and you start getting all the files you want off it before the format - slight relief Format - calmed down Realizing you forgot the 1 file you really wanted - rage worthy.

Not really illiteracy, but this just happened to me.
happens to me every time I reformat
Why the fuck! ARRRRGHGTHTGTHGHRRGRHHG!!!! Seriously why do they fucking need to wipe out the entire fucking drive for a dead LCD or Battery! I need to find the person who decided that was a good idea and prevent him from reproducing, with a sledgehammer.
And I will be there too my friend, with a bit more than a sledgehammer. I have a dew spare lcd's from dead laptop's. We could smash them over his head and see if his reformatting shit can fix then now. [editline]08:00PM[/editline]
I love how i went to sleep because i woke up at 4am(despite having slept at 2am) And i had deliberately left my pc running to compile a model. 2pm, i wake up(went to bed at 10am) And my pc's been turned off by the fucking button. no less. and the model compile has corrupted. My stepdad LOVES turning off my PC by the button despite it probably going to cause a massive hemmorhage of my HDD In the future. Not to mention 3dsmax has been shut off by the pc going off. Making me loose another model i hadn't saved yet. This is the same stepdad(no shit) who claimed leaving my pc on idle with only Utorrent(I was downloading LEGAL freeware.) running set my computer on fire and that the PSU was hot as shit(when it will be because it has been running for sixteen fucking hours. jesus shitting christ.) Despite me having the left side of the PC open and all fans on full. He also claims he puts a rag over a knife and jams it down each side of my computer(It's boxed in a little wooden thing in my desk) to clean the dust from the outside of the mother-shitting computer. I really REALLY hope he realizes if he does that to the open side he's either going to cut wires or get electrocuted.
I'm glad I don't have a stepdad. But my dad does turn off my pc without asking but thank FUCKING god he check what I'm doing first. He is savvy, although he buys nvidia cards when on a small budget (sigh) granted they are usually better but damn more expensive. So If i'm rendering something he'll know or if i'm torrenting something (latest ubuntu distro or some shit, UBUNTU FOR LIFE!) he'll know because I usually leave shit up on my second monitor so he can see it when he turns the monitor on to check. Also users who call ubuntu ubuntO. Fuck that little O is a nagging little 8 year old ready to die. [editline]09:12PM[/editline] You know what sucks? When you barely have even 10mb on your default windows drive, Like me.
Also users who call ubuntu ubuntO. Fuck that little O is a nagging little 8 year old ready to die.
My brother called it Ubuluntu, Booboontu and a bunch of other things :sigh:
The following actually happened to me. I proceeded to take the day off.
You're a dumbass, he PAID for it, at least let him keep it until the subscription ends.
If he paid for norton, then surely HE'S the dumbass here.
If he paid for norton, then surely HE'S the dumbass here.
Yeah, but he doesn't have to GET RID OF IT, if he did, he would have to pay the guy back the money that he used to buy the subscription.
Even thought it's about to end?
My brother called it Ubuluntu, Booboontu and a bunch of other things :sigh:
ucuntu
happens to me every time I reformat
That makes me feel so much better about myself.
Last time I reformatted I forgot to back up my porn collection :argh:
Last time I reformatted I forgot to back up my porn collection :argh:
Oh god me too, realized 10 seconds afterwards
