Computer illiterate people who think they know things V5 = I FLICK PSU VOLTAGE SWITCH - Hardware & Software

This kid was using my computer and he kept on calling the monitors computers. He also referred to a CD key as a system code. There's a kid in my class who thinks he knows [I]everything[/I] about computers. He asked me for a name of a good proxy server I said pretty much anyone that doesn't have proxy in its name will work I gave him standard ones for getting past school internet protection. He looked at me and said "yeah but this website says that before I do that I need to hack" I stared at him as I became aware that this guy was leaking stupidity into my brain and I had to get out of there to protect my brain cells.

Annoying sure, because he's religious about his Apple computers. He ranted on and on to us all that video games are a huge waste of time and that there's a thousand other things to do than play games. This is apparently why he took the time to get Modern Warfare for Windows running on his Mac Pro and Macbook Pro (which he bragged about loudly). According to the very same kid, anything I do on the computer that isn't either MS Word or another shoddy piece of software we're required to use for that class, is a game. At the same time, games were banned because of a "virus problem" which was still just some kid plugging his hard drive full of pirated games into the school's computer.

Old Norton was horrible. I remember once I installed the trial (I think it was 2005 or 2006) to our old family PC, which had 1.4 Ghz Celeron, and 256 MB of SDRAM which was pretty dated even 5 years ago. I tried booting it up, and it wouldn't start. It would hang before it got to the login screen. So I went into safe mode. It took nearly 40 minutes to boot, but when I looked at the task manager, after it loaded for 5 minutes, Norton took up all the RAM. I spent the next two hours uninstalling it. Not because I had trouble with it, but because it ran so fucking slow. [editline]04:57PM[/editline] I then found Avast, and ran that for many years on that PC with no problems.
