It's quite possible that Kaspersky has global mirrors that need that needs time to sync with the master server. It's also not uncommon for some ISPs to cache content.
Don't be so quick to shoot someone down.

He's pinning the blame on the other users isp, not the isp/hoster of the content.
Name me a single isp that caches content, especially one that would take 24 hours to resync their 'cache'.

I wasn't being a troll/ass. I just told him that it was a really stupid post.
That Kaspersky guy is probably trying to talk about the ISP's DNS servers. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.

well that's wrong too, the dns won't store the full url.
So me and my dad went to a computer shop to buy a new router,he went up to the counter and said:
Dad:'Hello do you have a new rooster I can buy?'
Me:'Dad,it's a router...'
Dad:'Yeah whatever you call it'
The guy we were talking to.....was a network administrator

real network administrators don't work in shops, he was trying to make himself look better than the shop assistant he actually was.

Maybe he lost his job.
my friend said he could hack into people's AIM accounts. Turns out he just tricks people into using his laptop to use aim and keylogs it.
Where's that "10-posts-to-make-a-thread" rule when you need it?

I thought it was 50 :gonk:
Yeah, if you don't mind shitty Microsoft ad's while you read your mail, stupid ass messages about the newest Live messenger/ Microsoft BS ad's, oh, and the piece de resistance:
~Having your email sold (farmed in lists) to 3rd party Spammers by Microsoft so they can make even MORE money~
but no, you're right, why switch to gmail?
They don't sell your email address, that's stupid. If they did, that would mean their wasting gigabytes upon gigabytes of their own servers on spam email. I've had my hotmail address for ages and rarely do I get spam, if I do, just mark it as junk and move on.
The ads aren't even seen if you use Windows Live Mail, which I have on all my machines.
Great, I'm having to teach nearly all the basics of computers to my mom.
Why?
So she can talk with people on a dating site.
The computer illiterate guy I was talking to, who thinks he knows everything decided to be my friend again on facebook. He still doesn't know clockspeed means GHz... He immediately opened chat with me:
Jackson: Hey, I'm sorry about lying about the computer stuff, I now know more than I did before.
Me: That's fine, I just get angry at people who lie.
Jackson: Yeah, I know.. I'm getting my AMD 620 in the mail today.
Me: AMD 620? The Althon II X4?
Jackson: No. it's a prototype gpu for the main processor.
Me: Oh really...
Jackson: Yeah, it's clocked to 11:00 AM and can make pictures on the screen in 60hz a minute.
Me: Oh my fucking god.
Jackson: I KNOW! IT'S AMAZING!
Me: I KNOW, GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FACEBOOK.
Jackson: What????
I then proceeded to remove him from my friends.
Oh my god. We need to archive this.

Avatar fits. And yes, we do.
Oh, Oh, Oh! I got a bit of illiteracy.
When people on facebook and myspace buy $2000 Photoshop just so they can make a folder called "ediiiiits" which contains vanity photo's with black and white photo's with shitty text on it.
or when they do a tutorial then act supreme about it like it was their own handiwork

Actually, the issue is just that Kaspersky 2011 hasn't been released yet in that person's region. When you go to the site, you are automatically redirected to the Kaspersky site of your region. The latest version of Kaspersky isn't sold in all countries yet, so these countries don't have the download links on their sites.

The mod even said so in his stickied post:

Leads me to believe that the mod didn't actually write that post, or he just doesn't understand it.

Now that looks just bad just bad, and somewhat creepy.
I had to teach my mom how to use a computer it was somewhat hard but she learned quite fast though. Funny tho that she knows more about Microsoft Office then I do now, then again I do not use office.
I sit next to the telephone operator where I work. There's a lady that has called at least twice asking for one of the people in the office, both times they were gone so the operator asked if she wanted to leave a voicemail, both times she responded, "I don't have a computer".
:sigh:
I swear to God if my mother doesn't learn how to do the simplest of tasks, I will use
shutdown.exe -s -m \\BLACKBOX -t 010
Well, I flicked one of psu voltage switches in school a long time ago. There was a popping sound and smoke came out of the PSU. One of my friends noticed the smoke and the smell and shouted:
"Someone overclocked this computer!!!"
good times

I didn't get caught. Some bearded dell guy came by and took the pc some days later and everybody forgot about it.
You must have gotten a dud then because I have had my dell inspron 1520 for a little over 3 years now and it still runs pretty well.
Yeah and my 3 year old dell still works, it's the new ones that are shit.
