I have never gotten detention, ever.
you are a pussy
Me: Dad, I need help. Could you buy me my components, I will repay you tomorrow, because my credit card is blocked for no reason. Father: Okay. Me: Thanks, so you go in this site, and... *2-3 mins later* Father: A 90€ CASE AND A 100€ PSU ? (Fractal Design R2/Antec TruePower New 650W) Me: What, these two are clearly cheap in their branchs for their quality. Father: WHY COULD YOU NOT BUY A 30€ CASE WITH INTEGRATED PSU INSTEAD? Me: Heck no, I'm going to have an expensive processor (Q9550) and graphic card (GTX460) soon, I don't want them to fry because of a stupid generic PSU. And it's my money after all. My father looked at me like I was saying shit and was being an idiot. After that, he thought that my new motherboard couldn't take my Dual Core processor (and Quad Core) because it was a P45 (But it was clearly described that it was on socket 775 in the online shop) The sad thing is the fact he is a computer engineer. Father, I am dissapoint.
man all that shit is old for him, he's already working on LGA 6430 with Intel's prototype i32 processor lineup
I think he is just used of cheap bureautic computers on his work.
My friend has a 24" iMac, a gaming PC, PS3 and 360 Elite. He hates the PS3 but only has it for the few people who use it. His iMac is for web browsing and the 360 is for when he wants to play COD with our buddies. He isn't like a OMG 10TH PRETICIGE!!±LOL.!NKMDV,B but more casual. Decent guy.
wow, that's pretty much me, cept the CoD part. i use my 360 for Exclusives only and use my PS3 for adventure, platform, exclusives and diverse action games and the PC for shooters, RPG's and RTS. My mac serves as mediacenter, webbrowser and i use it for Media lessons. (photoshop, flash and whatnot). I love my technics... Play MW2 with friends though... on PC, just for fun though.
I didn't really wanna bother making a new thread, and everybody is asking general questions here. I've read somewhere that you can buy an Iphone, jailbreak it, and use the bluetooth as an internet signal.
I might start jailbreaking for money. People are dumb and I have resources.
http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=23613102&postcount=7 :v:
That actually confused me at first i have to admit, because its under the 'video' settings.
I'm on vacation and I'm in a hotel right now, I had to change the IP and settings so I could connect to the wireless, and apparently it triggers an alarm when anyone does something like that, so management comes up with two security guards and says I was hacking and I had to give them my laptop, and could get it back tomorow, so I was all "I'm not doing anything, just connection to the internet!" So they said prove it and so I did, they said that they were going to give our room limeted service. -_-
Pretty sure you're supposed to let them know before you use their wi-fi.
To the people monitoring this connection. He is hacking. He is covering his footsteps. The bird is in the cage.

Also, how did they know it was your room? [editline]11:06PM[/editline] Also, what hotel was that? If I ever go to one of their hotels and trigger their alarm they'll fucking flip when they see my laptop running linux.
Who would hack a hotel?
Who wouldn't? They exchange a lot of credit card information, if you know how to bypass the multitude of security measures, it's a goldmine of profitable information.
putting bags of ice on computer tower makes it not overheat OK THEN.
Who wouldn't?
Log onto their employee wireless. An easy way to get the password is to snoop around the front desk.
A kid from school did that. He lives right next to a hotel. One day when he was in the hotel, the key was on a piece of paper on the desk, so he took it -.-.

Did we do this by looking up the video card chipset? No, we went into the OS system resources panel and looked to see how much address space the computer gave to the video card. Needless to say the computer allocated 0xFF MB worth of space. MLIN.
what the fuck does this mean
If I had to warrant a guess, I'd say it means it was a 256MB graphics card. That's just a guess though.

Is it sad I can see myself doing this? http://mylifeisnerdy.co.cc/story/2009-11-22+18:36:49

Today in class we were watching a movie, Not problem setting up or getting it running. The problem was, Well it was pirated. And before you ask "How do you know it was" Well it was recorded with some shitty handicam and has greek subtitles.
Sounds funny to me, not sad
I've had similar dreams to that but not that... Awesome?

I prefer to pay a good PSU before to have more stability on my system. Also my case was so loud as fuck (maybe the CPU cooler too) that you could heard the noise in the other side of the house from my bedroom (door open of course). [editline]12:10PM[/editline] And he thinks again that my E6300/9500GT is powerful to run any games. What a laugh. [editline]12:28PM[/editline] By the way, the previous computers (and this one I use) were made by him. But I think it's over now.
