4 Pages of idiocy in a day. Good work. I wish I could pull some stories. I guess I got a few. Last night I was working on a friend's computer through teamviewer. The thing was like ground zero. He had cleaned up most of the virii but we couldn't get everything. So mainly the project is to get the important shit and blow away both hard drive partitions and reformat with Windows 7. I was screwing around with him trying to find and delete hal.dll to scare him. But it wasn't anywhere on the computer yet it still operated. I checked Windows\ ; Windows\System and Windows\system32. Am I missing anywhere?
Did you check winsxs? Upon a deleted or corrupted datafile, windows may use the backup in that folder as a surrogate. While it is supposed to be in system32, it may also run it in the winsxs folder if it can't be moved. As expected, it will slow down some system operations.
I bet you were :eng99: after that
I said it wasn't my story.
for most of their products, I would agree with that statement, but have you used a death adder? one of the few good ergonomic mice, good tracking, braided anti tangle cord, for $60 bucks? Not bad, but if you're not into the whole light up blue logo you can always get the equivalent logitech for about the same price, that mouse at least, isn't too badly over priced. (but oh god, that new StarCraft II headset for $120, now that's just nuts)
I agree with the deathaddler, I have one and it's a really comfortable mouse.
A while ago I spent about an hour explaining to the stereotypical young gmod player (MW2 is his most played game, kleiner avatar, about 12 years old and is extremely cocky) why his age old computer wouldn't play gta4. He was asking everyone on his friends list to buy him it, so I went about trying to stop him from wasting his time. His gpu had 128mb of vram in it, so i explained to him that gta4 governs graphical detail from the vram, and that even if he had the best card ever, with that amount he wouldn't be able to play it. Being the person he was, he went about flailing his arms and calling me a liar, claiming that I was trying to get out of buying it for him (It was 4 dollars for crying out loud) Turns out a friend bought it for him, and he was litterally shocked to his very bone when "it was a bit laggy" Oh and he called me a hobo. Before asking me a second and third time for it. Not really computer illiterate (Alhough he did try his best to make up a name for his card and cpu) but strangely satisfying. Also it turns out that he didn't want to buy it himself because his parents "dont believe in entering detials in the internet" and so he has bought everything on his steam from gift cards.
Question since everyone is talking about razer, is the Lycosakeyboard good?
Ages ago, I was reading a thread somewhere where people posted funny Google search results, and there was the obligatory stuff about dicks and what not. My mum came past and saw this and started berating me for viewing this as "this is the reason I get viagra ads sent to me!".
Final Cut Pro is a great reason [editline]09:10PM[/editline]
iMovie really isn't better than than WMM and WLM...
It beats the shit out it.
WLMM sucks. WMM was pretty decent, to be free.
Razer generally makes bad and overpriced 'gamer' products.
:crossarms: is this like some new bandwagon or something? razer makes great stuff. the tron/starcraft 2 crap is obviously overpriced, because its themed.
THIS webcomic will give everyone a good laugh. Sample:
My God, it's fantastic.
I hate Razer because most of the products have stupid as fuck names (not a huge problem for me but little things add up), the logo is horrible and plastered all over everything they make, they sell fake shit (Hypersponse? Ultrapolling? Anti-ghosting capabilities, fractal textured surfaces, high-gloss finish helping you perform better in games? fuck off razer), and they use hyperboles in every single product summary.
The Razer Destructor™ was co-designed, tested and validated by some of the most internationally respected and revered eSports teams, including Fnatic, Team World Elite and Team EG. Through their constant input, our engineers were able to push the boundaries of invention beyond all expectations, culminating in a product whose level of refinement is only possible at the highest echelons of competitive tuning.
Despite all that I'll probably buy the Lycosa Mirror eventually since my current keyboard is a shitty generic one. Googling the teams, I'm on Fnatic and it looks like they're terrible at Counter-Strike and like to play free generic Korean shooters and World of Warcraft. I cannot WAIT to buy my Razer Destructor, eSports™ Fnatic™-validated! Through their constant input they've pushed the boundaries of invention beyond all expectations, culminating in a product whose level of refinement is only possible at the highest echelons of competitive tuning! [sp]Is is just me or does it sound like someone at Razer thought "fuck it, let's just make up a bunch of bullshit and see if it sells better"?[/sp]
:crossarms: is this like some new bandwagon or something? razer makes great stuff. the tron/starcraft 2 crap is obviously overpriced, because its themed.
Some of the stuff is good, but there's far better stuff out there, most of it cheaper. Plus all the glowing logos and shit aren't exactly nice looking. Haha, 'Razer Destuctor'. It's a fucking mousemat, not a fucking decepticon.
Xbox 360 sucks. I will never own one since all the fanboys and crying little kids on it. I have tried some of it over a friends house, doesn't seem that good. PS3, I have not tried. I own a Wii and a N64. Just go with PC and use STEAM. Atleast Valve cares about their fans and customers, and listens. Apparently PC has "crappier" graphics than the xbox because it can do 1080p... These Xbox fans are flat out stupid and under estimate the PC. They probably use really old laptops and just go on facebook. Without PC there would be no Xbox. Fact. PC Has more pixels and is much stronger with Nvidia and ATI graphics cards, motherboards, ram etc. -
From the 360 hate thread. All the facts are run up in there... crapping on customers, failure rates being below any acceptable quality level bladibladiblah... then this gem turned up... can you believe it? a PC snob being wrong!? I prefer my PC too (and PS3 and at occation 360), but anyone knows that Pixels depend on HOW MANY PIXELS YOUR SCREEN HAS (resolution). or did i miss something?

I'm bad with words. :saddowns: The Destructor looks like a pretty decent mousepad but fuck's sakes I'd be more inclined to buy it if it had no text or logos on it and they didn't even have a description for it. As far as I know the 360 and the PS3 can't handle 1080 no matter what monitor you hook them up to, there are probably hacky ways around that but I don't have either so I can't say. [editline]fucking razers, how do they stay in business[/editline] NEW RAZER EAR CUSHIONS WILL ACTUALLY IMPROVE THE BASS AND DEPTH OF SOUND I'm taking my money to Saitek now. :colbert:
I thought this was pretty funny: [img_thumb]http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac298/4rawrs4srs/Image420.jpg[/img_thumb] THIS STICKER ON YOUR IDE CABLE WILL KEEP YOUR DATA SECURE!
Lycosa is a piece of shit with keys on it. It's build quality is crap. Along with everything else Razer sells. (except the deathadder I guess but logitech's are way better for way cheaper)
Why do all the illetrates get macs and I don't get a MacBook Pro :saddowns:
I'll sell you my Macbook for $250 if my mom's friend doesn't want it It's not a macbook pro, but at least it has a C2D. You're not using it for gaming, so 2GB of memory and 111GB of HDD space should be plenty Hell, think of it as a netbook.
Looking for reviews of the Lycosa Keybard. Not twenty fucking seconds in, apparently that's not the original one he ordered since the first one came with keys damaged IN THE BOX. Hate to drag this Razer flaming out but I needed to vent.
http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=23709313&postcount=21
? Vista is bad all around.
Logitech G500 + G15 = FRABULOUS
G15 is pretty hefty for me, not a lot of desk space, and I love my G9. After G9, G9. Also, I know I'm a few years late but what is so mind-blowingly shitty about Vista? I went from XP to Windows 7 just a few weeks ago so I completely missed it.
Yeah, because when a product arrives damaged it's always the manufacturer's fault. The shipping company had nothing to do with it during the course of driving it who knows how many miles over who knows what kind of roads and handling it in the various depots it gets to along the way.

UK Dollars? It's pounds, not dollars.
? Vista is bad all around.
cool do me a favour and state the reasons you think this, because I need a good laugh right now
