So, I don't know what exactly my subconscious knows about hacking. Even my own conscious doesn't know much other than a few things I've learned. I've been having dreams since getting my own computer about it getting a virus or getting hacked or the like, but my most recent one is the most ridiculous dream I've had yet. See, some guy hacked my computer and partitioned it. I'm not that educated in computers myself, but, correct me if I'm wrong, I think partitioning actually requires the physical computer. What's funny is that the computer would randomly switch over to his "side," and of course my subconscious had to have it with a red and black color scheme. What's even more funny is that I found out he was a facepunch user, and was trying to take screens to put on my jumpdrive to make a huge thread about him. So, this is more about my subconscious being computer illiterate, but I hope it was funny anyway.
nothing at all it has a bad reputation because people expected to run it on their pentium 3 machines, then idiots kept the ball rolling
could you stop pretending you have all the facts down? there were huge compatibility problems that Win 7 attended to. Not to mention that when it was released, only top of the line PC's had the hardware to run it. i hate when people like you think you've got it all right and everyone else is stupid asshats attempting to run a playstation game in a cassette recorder. There are other things in this world between "perfectly fine" and "idiots who do stupid shit"
Another plus is the screen display, this is a Windows 7 64 bit so expect to see vibrant colors. Just to see the difference, I put a 32 bit and this side by side and clearly saw a difference.
FUCK. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220715
White or black? And if I can get $250 in UK dollarz yeah awesome.
It's white, and the keyboard's a bit grimy so I'll have to clean it :| Oh you live in UK? I might have to charge $300 or so for shipping costs.... :V (STUPID QUESTION IMMINENT) Can you buy it if it's on US ebay?
FUCK. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220715
HNNNGGGGGGG. /caps
G15 is pretty hefty for me, not a lot of desk space, and I love my G9. After G9, G9. Also, I know I'm a few years late but what is so mind-blowingly shitty about Vista? I went from XP to Windows 7 just a few weeks ago so I completely missed it.
It's slow, bad for games, likes going unresponsive when doing simple tasks, and is a huge resource hog.
there were huge compatibility problems that Win 7 attended to. Not to mention that when it was released, only top of the line PC's had the hardware to run it.
None of this ever happened. Also I hate to break it to you but Pentium 3's weren't new even when Vista was released. Hell a pentium 4 with 512 MB of RAM can run it (there was a thread a while ago about some guy experimenting. Can't find it.).
It's slow, bad for games, likes going unresponsive when doing simple tasks, and is a huge resource hog.
What a horrible troll
It's slow, bad for games, likes going unresponsive when doing simple tasks, and is a huge resource hog.
You're stupid.

I ran Vista Beta 2 on a 1.6GHz Sempron with 512mb of RAM. Upgraded graphics to a GeForce 6200

Never said it's horrible, just saying that with my experience it was very resource heavy and was slower with games compared to Xp.
Never said it's horrible, just saying that with my experience it was very resource heavy and was slower with games compared to Xp.
Were you using it with a pentium 3 on the beta perhaps
Never said it's horrible, just saying that with my experience it was very resource heavy and was slower with games compared to Xp.
You do realize that unused RAM will not, in fact, let your PC go faster. It is not efficient to have only 10% used. It's quite the opposite. The most efficient use is, in theory, to have as much RAM used as possible without overflowing or whatever, because that means none is wasted.
Does anyone have the video of that kid declaring he has the best pc ever and can run crysis at 999999fps and it just has a armti rage and he used a car rasiatorto cool it? It was a good laugh. Also does anyone have videos of like 10 year old computer idiots because their always the funniest Rate me dumb for typing like shit on iphone
Were you using it with a pentium 3 on the beta perhaps
No I was using the full version with a pentium 4. Also I know that having more free ram doesn't make your pc faster, but if your using something that needs a lot of ram, it's good to have free ram incase it starts leaking or something.
I was talking to this 9 year old kid in Ventrilo, he asked us how he can change is IP, so we tell him to unplug his router, wait 30 minutes, and reconnect it, and he says "No I'm not dumb."
Haha, for someone who dosen't understand that is a fair point. He thinks your just trying to kick him off. I would say he is not all-knowing, but who is at age nine?
No I was using the full version with a pentium 4. http://www.popsci.com/technology/article/2010-07/order-seven-cyber-guardians-around-world-now-hold-keys-internet Frankly this sounds pretty cool, of course the article is dumbed down quite a bit, and of course there's "that guy" in the comments section
THIS IS B-LLSH-T!!! This is OUR internet. It is NOT their internet!!! We, not them, paid for it. We, not them, developed it. We, not them, expanded it. We, not them, have improved it, and we, not them, have turned it into the most powerful tool known to mankind!!! This FREE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION cannot be allowed to fall into the hands of ANY group of ANY size!!! It is completely INSANE to rely on a group of people to do ANYTHING in an emergency, and there is NO EMERGENCY IMAGINABLE, let alone actually feasible, to justify having an internet switch! What could possibly happen in a "cyber-attack" that could justify giving a kill switch or a "reset switch" to a small grup of people? This must be summarily rejected, and massively protested if allowed to continue!!! It is ILLEGAL and a VIOLATION OF OUR GOD GIVEN HUMAN RIGHTS!!!

Molto Bene, You said, "Actually, the internet access is considered a "privilege" and not a right." Maybe in your country, but in this country, the USofA, we recognize the GOD GIVEN HUMAN RIGHT to access information on the internet! I would suggest you contact your government and DEMAND they treat internet access as the RIGHT it is!!! Even our PRISONERS are allowed access! You said, " It's not really a free exchange of information either, as you do need to pay for access to the online world." WRONG! It is a free exchange of information that uses servers that you must pay to use! The internet is free, even if the service provider charges a fee for their service. The information on the internet and the exchange of that information is FREE! You said, "This is far from illegal, but it is a safe precaution to a mass-attack." A mass attack? What in the world can you imagine happening as a result of a mass attack of the internet? You are PARANOID!!! And if you don't own the internet, which neither the government nor the ICANN does, it is certainly not legal for you to shut the internet down, turn it off, or reset it! Can they legally come in your home and reset your computer without your permission? NO! Well, they can't do it to YOUR internet either! You said, "And if nothing could possibly be so bad as to terminate the internet.. then you have nothing to worry about." I said the EXACT OPPOSITE!!! That NOTHING COULD BE WORSE than to cut off the internet, which is why you shouldn't give the ability to cut off the internet to ANY group of ANY size!!! Then you said, "Only thing I see wrong is if someone has the ability to lead such a breach of security, what's to stop them from shutting off the communication lines between these "key holders"?" YOU ARE PARANOID!!! NOONE is waiting behind the shadows to interrupt the free flow of information in a cyber attack. The governments of the world, however, may not want information to be so free flowing! And while there is NO CYBER AL-CIA'DA, there IS a fully censored MURDEROUS, TORTUROUS, DICTATORSHIP, REGIEMES like China, and more and more government sponsored censorship efforts by so-called free world countries, like Australia, the UK, and the USofA!!! These "key holders" of the internet will become the gatekeepers of the internet! Read their own documents, they talk about it! You cannot take down the USofA by cyber attack! Planes won't fall out of the sky like Richard Clarke thinks!!! So the fear of having the internet shut off in an cyber attack is NOT justification to giving the internet "switch" to ANYONE else!
I'm not proud to live in the same country as this person.
cool do me a favour and state the reasons you think this, because I need a good laugh right now
Takes up more resources than it needs, bad game compatibility, security problems, and over restrictive DRM.
Takes up more resources than it needs, bad game compatibility, security problems, and over restrictive DRM.
in order superfetch, completely the opposite of what is true, incorrect and you can disable it but you're an idiot if you do try harder
