My friend decided to have me build a gaming computer for him, he wanted the worst build I had ever heard of and I tried to tell him that but he had spoken, and I couldn't change his opinion and I don't like to argue with people either... He wanted two 9500 gts in SLI, a core 2 quad Q8200, an Apevia Telstar Jr case and a 450gb velociraptor :gonk: [editline]08:20PM[/editline] He also wanted 8GB of RAM.

I don't have this issue with opera. Its CPU usage spikes to 25% (one core) but everything works fine and it is responsive. Then when I leave the page with the avatar it goes back down to 1%.

Putting 9500's in SLI is pointless, they're barely gaming cards. (I got about 30-60 FPS in TF2 on a 9500GT)

One day my brother got pissed at his computer and threw away his hard drive because he had a virus, so I took it out of the trash and cleaned it and was going to remove the viruses and installed MSE. Then he told me, "Don't put that hard drive in your computer, it has viruses". So I told him I fixed it and put anti-virus on it, he didn't belive me untill I showed him there were no viruses on it, then I put it back into his computer and went on.

I have an older friend whose 20-something grandson did the [i]same damned thing[/i]. He had a laptop. He never installed any AV software because "he didn't need it." He got a virus and couldn't clean it. He didn't even bother trying to restore the computer, despite being told that it would fix things. Instead, he convinced his grandmother he needed a new laptop. He bought one from Best Buy and overdrew his grandma's bank account in the process. We bought the old "broken" one from the grandma for $100 and after recovering it via its recovery partition, it was working and virus-free in about an hour. I'm still not sure if this was completely computer illiteracy, or if it was partly just greed on the part of her prick grandson.

I've got a good one that recently made me rage. My parents took me along with them to best buy to get them new computers for ADVICE. My advice was, dont go to fucking best buy and build it your damn self. They suckered my mom into an HP shit desktop with an amd quad core. The price was fine until they added about 500 dollars of useless warrenties and "free stuff". My dad got an i7 laptop and again, all the prices were fair, until the fucking retarded warranties and free things. They ended up spending about 2000 dollars on a toshiba satellite A665 and a quad core AMD at 2.83 GHz and 8GB of RAM. My mom was freaking out at the 8GB of ram part when all you need now is 4GB at most. All she plays is fucking world of warcraft, you dont even need 2GB for that shit. tl:dr My parents wanted my advice on computers and they didn't listen. I do have to give some credit to the best buy salesmen for doing a good job (selling expensive shit).

Chrome is at 40 or so at startup and after a few hours of browsing it was at 120. i don't know much about this, but that seems more right. But, It's better than Safari. Jumps straight to 250 MB RAM on startup and goes crazy when flash is involved. and it is not retard friendly enough for me. i just don't have the energy for www and .com. i just want to be retarded as hell and type "Facepunch" and just go there. why? because i love a rotting brain in the morning. Where is Opera in all of this though?

One being a restore tab and the other being facepunch (The homepage nothing else.) it will use 800mb of ram. Whereas opera will use roughly the same amount of ram but while handling twenty-seven tabs, seven of which loading a flash application, mainly youtube.

I've got 6 tabs open right now, one of them being pandora radio, and Firefox is using a grand total of 54 MB of my memory.
