Computer illiterate people who think they know things V5 = I FLICK PSU VOLTAGE SWITCH - Hardware & Software

my friend thinks that any laptops that cost less than his desktop suck, (his desktop is a $800 prebuilt from circuit city/bestbuy) of course he's ignoring me now because i pointed out a 600 dollar laptop (that i picked off the front page of newegg) is only slightly slower than his desktop

Firefox is using 84 MB of RAM for me right now and I've been using it since 4 PM EST.

Mine's been running for about an hour and is using 154MB of RAM, with 5 forums and youtube open. I blame addons, I have a few that always run.

I haven't seen any major memory leaking issues with the newer versions of Firefox. High memory usage isn't really even a problem for any web browser though, since it's used for RAM cache.

Oh yeah well my chrome is using 100mb and I've been using it for 3 hours with 2 tabs open... Thats bad, isn't it?

It was actually a pretty decent computer (at the time).

Every time after they left I had to turn off opera turbo because it makes it SoOoO mUcH FaStEr. There is no difference on my connection, AT ALL. Not really computer illiteratcy, but I attempted to change my video card (4670 to a 9600GT). Getting it out was all fine and dandy, but some wires made putting the new one in a problem. So I'm sitting there with both cards out of the computer, afraid I'd fuck up some how. So like a good pussy I put the old one back in without a hitch and went to a shop like a good baby.

I came back gleefully and saw all the video's loading, It seems the school hasn't noticed that someone changed over the router, Granted this was a bit bad of me but I've recently been so pissed off at the school that I just had to give a huge F-U to the school. Yes wall of text I'm sorry but This did happen, I had to sneak around the school. we have 2-3 other posts relating a similar story because they have a ton of addons installed and at least one of them has issues. Firefox itself doesn't have memory leaks anymore. Some of the addons still have issues, sure, but just Firefox doesn't have those issues anymore.

If it's none of those, then by method of elimination it automatically becomes FF itself. I'm not the only one to have memory leaks with the Mac version of FF. since 3.5 it just went balistic. google it if you must. My PC runs FF no problem though.
