Oh man, this one happened just today. I got called in to try and fix a printer that was screwing up. They were confused because it was a brand new printer. Now for some reason, this brand new printer came with a parallel port (God knows why), and so instead of hooking it up with the included USB cable, they hooked it in using parallel. One would think all is fine and dandy. Wrong. They used a REALLY old parallel cable, back when it was only unidirectional. So of course the printer kept fucking up. I went up there, changed the cables out, and got it working. When I asked why they used the parallel cable, they said it was because, "Well, it has a much bigger connector, so it must be better and it can handle more stuff, right?" I'm glad I left at that point. I couldn't stop laughing on the inside.

Well I asked that kid who's computer "was old but really really good!" about it again and he said the same thing. also this kid at my school insists the new Xbox 360 S is called the E3 because the the video he watched the announcement on had [E3] at the start the video name.

I remember when I was in Year 7 (Just Started secondary school(UK)) and I saw some people on deviant art (At the time I didn't know what deviant art was at all) but I noticed there was some clearly 3D rendered images and said "That's done in 3ds max" and the two guys at the PC said " IT'S DEVIANT ART YOU IDIOT!" I so want to go back in time and teach those morons a lesson.

Some moron in school asked me what kind of computer I have, I said it's a custom built. He proceeds to say "I HAVE A DELL THEY ARE THE BEST". Once when we were doing something at the IT class, my friend's computer's internet connection didn't work. The first thing he did was checking if the cable wasn't plugged all the way in. The second he touched the cable, the kid next to him started yelling something like "DON'T TOUCH THE CABLE IDIOT! YOU WILL BREAK THE D-LINK BETWEEN THE COMPUTERS IF YOU TINKER WITH IT TOO MUCH!" Then he started explaining how all the computers were connected to it and when asked was it a router, he just said "No! It's a D-link you idiot..." So he really thinks that all the routers ever built are D-Links Sometimes the same kid brags about how he has seen all the episodes of some series before we did, because he knows how to download them. Really the downloading is done by his older brother who actually isn't computer illiterate. When some of my friends asked the kid what would he do if cops catched him for illegally downloading stuff, he just says "Oh cops won't catch me. If they kick down my door, I have my external hard drive which I will hide inside a wall so they don't have any evidence :downs:"

yesterday my sister told me she'd found out about a "new xbox" she told me to google for Natal I tell her it was renamed to kinect, but apparently I've been misinformed by the entire internet because that's the name of the redesigned 360 she told me it was "exactly like wii but better" I show her it's a camera, she replies "no, that was the eyetoy" I point to the camera itself and tell her that's it and it plugs into the 360, but apparently the camera isn't a camera, it's the "new xbox" I ask her if it isn't a camera, how does it work, it can't be magic because the ipad already covered that she replies "but this is an xbox, not an eyetoy" I'm then told by my mom "you might hate it just because it's microsoft but you shouldn't lie to her" the only valid response in this situation [img]http://imgkk.com/i/8c-6.jpg[/img]
