Computer illiterate people who think they know things V5 = I FLICK PSU VOLTAGE SWITCH

Some dickhead at my school said Mac Book pros are the best computers out there for gaming, and there are more games for Mac than Windows. He also said that MW2 has the best mulitplayer ever. Me and my friend chewed him up though.
The same kid also says that the community doesn't matter. i told him it doesn't in a shit game, where even in the team based modes, everyone goes and has a Rambo strategy, and abuses the shit out of everyone if they stuff up. We and my friend both went into detail about how a game with OP weapons and a company that won't fix the flaws can never be good, let alone the best.

that's pretty good for a Q6600, actually, especially if you're making a heatsink out of that motor

Hell with that motor you could probably push it to 5ghz hah.

Some of us have crappy chips ok
3.19Ghz max, on w/c too
Well I love my mac because it has MOTU Digital Performer on it and I use it daily, recorded some friends with it too, and it sounds amazing, too. I never noticed a difference between CS4 on PC vs Mac, it feels the same on my mac as on my PC...
My PC is a daily use computer, the bred stallion with a Triple core heart pumping at 3.4GHz. I play games with it a lot, but I've recently declined in playing them and started to work more on it with programming and schoolwork.
My linux is virtually untouched until I have the impulse to use it. And even then it's usually updating. I have learned a lot from 1 solid days-worth of use, though.
I know a photographer and he uses a Mac Pro, along with his wife who has a Mac Pro.
Don't get me wrong, a mac is EXPENSIVE. But they have never lost any work using it. I crashed mine once. I forced it to kernel panic
I should totally make a case fan with this motor:

that's 115V at 5.5 amps, a whopping 632 watts. 1/4HP and 1725 RPM, shit would be pretty intense, and a little useless and probably wind up driving my power bill through the roof. I would then proceed to make a thread about it
At first i thought that was absolutely fucking huge, then I saw the coke can next to it and thought, oh ok it's not that big.

Lucky bastard. I'm on a P5N-E SLi (still haven't bought a new mobo) and with a zalman x10 extreme the OC limit is 2.8GHz stable and 3.1GHz unable-to-boot-when-cold

Also, you had a wee bit of computer illiteracy yourself there. Linux isn't for programmers, it is for anyone who wants complete control over their system. Biiiiiiiiiigggggg linux stereotype there.
Arch linux has compatibility with Steam?
Macs are for people who know nothing about computers, and in some cases, artists.
Windows is for gamers, regular people and pretty much everyone else.
Linux is for programmers and people who know what they're doing.
Can we please stop making horrible connections like this?

You have such steorotypes.
There's a teacher at my school who is completely computer illiterate. Any time something isn't working, or is going slow, he needs to unplug the computer for 5 minutes and 'drain the power'. Youtube slow? Drain the power. DVD not working? Drain the power. Website down? Drain the power.
Edit: When I say unplug the computer. I mean he unplugs every cable, including the monitor to the tower.

Damn, everyone knows you don't unplug EVERY cable, you hit it with a hammer. :downs: /sarcasm
That reminds me a ginger guy in my school who is always telling at people on computers, if they need his help. Not in a kind way, but mostly to show everyone he is the "best" with computers. Like: "You know how to use Microsoft Word ?" to me. He thinks that everyone except him is an idiot.

Same when he sees people playing video games. Always comment what we should do.

Do it to him back.
Do it to him back.
I just wait for the new school year, but if this guy remains the same as before, it will not end well.
He is also the same guy who downloaded torrents on his laptop with school network, like I said before in this thread.

Windows is for weaboos, normal users and impolite crap gamers thinking they are cool because of their killstreaks, lvls etc.
OS/X is for babies and faggots, retards, former winfags and stupid people.
Linux are for weird people that only understands each other, its a kind of their own. Also theese people tend to put their ideas into reality, most of the time failing like hell, theese are the friendly anarchists solving the problems of the world. But they are bad some way too.
I am both using Windows and Linux, and a fan of both.. but i only use windows for the games and dos stuff, and for being social. And Mac is for dumbshits that cant use a computer unless it speaks in person.
I guess I should rephrase what I said in the last page. All 3 main OS's are good, it just depends on what your goals are and what kind of computer you need. Sorry if I offended anyone with my analogy.

I raged. Hard. I looked at the comments and it's nice to know that most people know that lady is wrong, but some people actually believe it, which makes me sad to see that such people exist in this world.
Some content btw .
When I was in 9th grade, my school was really poor so our computers were old and broke often but it usually got fixed in a day or so. So one day I was in my German class. I was done with my assignment early so I asked if I could print out some info for my next class. But when I sat down and tried to go to Google, nothing worked.
By then I didn't know all that much about computers so I asked my teacher. He used Photoshop so he could figure it out, right. But after 10 Min of trying, he just said that it was broken and told me to get back to my seat. It was only when I looked back that I saw something by the network port.
Some idiot had put a small piece of paper in the socket. I took it out and everything worked. I felt pretty stupid right there
