So the kid I mentioned earlier with the overkill computer just asked me today what AA is, so I told him it smooths the jagged edges (I refuse to call them "jaggies" :smithicide: ), and he replies "Oh. So its good, yeah?"

Illiteracy or not, you decide, but I'm pretty sure actually trying to use the hardware your parents paid out the ass for is probably good (besides the smooth edges).

My computers both have their monitors facing the front door. Like you walk into my house and they are right there. I get some fantastically dumb statements off the people stopping by.

One computer is connected to a huge TV that I use for gaming and the other is connected to a shitty 2001 LCD screen. People decide that I am, in fact, the greatest hacker of the millennium due to the size of my screen. I can also hack two things at once due to having two computers, each with one eye, and with one hand on each keyboard. The setup also creates a zone of computer knowledge apparently, because I am good with computers, but anyone could be good with the kind of setup I have. :downs:

Yeah it runs fine on my 4830 too, but different games different results, so that's why I'm looking for one.

Anyone with a GTX 460 that would mind making a benchmark of it on Fallout 3? Would be highly appreciated. And overclock it first, please, as I will be doing that.

You could trim the PCIe connectors of the bottom of a card to fit them in a shorter slot. Utterly fucking unrecommended, but not impossible.

I'm really tempted to try actually, I had to grab an old ati 7000 pci card off ebay for my storage box, it doesn't have onboard video and refused to boot without a video card.

PCIe x 1 would've been nicer as they're newer cards with newer drivers, but I didn't want to spend much on those short in supply x1 video cards. With a mod like that I could hack up one of my old cards and use it instead.

If I have the balls to do it I'll make a thread :buddy:
