Put Android On an iPhone Without Using a Computer - Bootlace
Google won't let them add that in. If you have someone with a official Android phone you can hack it onto yours. There is a tutorial on the iDroid wiki.
You don't need another phone to do that. You can install them with some android mod thingy. http://www.idroidproject.org/forum/idroid/how-to-get-gapps-on-ifroyo/

Must have been thinking of the old method.
I can't wait for Android for iPad.. I'm already getting a Desire, it'll replace my old 3G, so iPad will be my only iOS device, but I'd still love to see Android on it.
Is there a dual boot for Iphone 4?
Nope, not yet.
Question, if i fuck up will i be able to restore and can i still go to my iOS?
3GS user here
jesus hexxeh stop wasting time on the ipad and get openiboot working on the touch 2g
yeah no.
By porting it to the iPad, OpeniBoot can also run on other A4 devices with little modifications such as the iPhone 4, iPT4G, and the AppleTV2. I don't know, you can tell me what to prioritize there.

Yes, but the 3GS is not supported
It's working on iPhone 4, tested on iPod 4 and rumored to be working, Apple TV is untested, and iPad is quite obvious.
is there a way i can test it out on my iPad Hexxeh?

At the moment, it's the iphone version is quite useless.
But it's still fun to play around with it regardless
Ok im getting mixed answers, does the thing in OP's link work on the iPhone 4?

No it doesn't, it only works on iPhone 2G and 3G.
Devices with A4 are currently WIP
is there a way i can test it out on my iPad Hexxeh?
build it from hexxehs git iirc
[editline]15th November 2010[/editline]
not bootlace but openiboot
git clone git://github.com/Hexxeh/openiBoot.git --recursive && cd openiBoot/openiboot && PLATFORM=IPAD make && PLATFORM=IPAD make install
Enjoy. You'll need to install some dependancies though, libpng and libusb spring to mind. Oh and libreadline.
btw hexxeh, my friend at school was raving about "some guy" who got OpeniBoot on his iPad. :buddy:
I'm officially now famous. Oh, wait.. no I'm not... :eng99:
Building it now hexxeh :)
This needs more 3GS.
They should make you build yourself. Weeds out idiots who just complain

you are amongst nerds.
engadget and gizmodo both love you. oh and google loves you.
by the way did they offer you a spot? i never really followed that
I've not seen so much on Gizmodo, but Engadget have done a few articles on my stuff.
Google, stuff ongoing.
well usually when i see it on engadget i see it on gizmodo, but gizmodo typically has a lot more coverage lately than engadget, seeing as they also pay close attention to games as well
I prefer engadget.
engadget's all around a superior site.
Gizmodo seems a lot like the demonspawn from Kotaku molesting Engadget
Gizmo do has a lot more stories though. I like the engadget writers better.
well like i mentioned gizmodo covers games, engadget just covers the hardware.
I read both Engadget and Gizmodo. I prefer Gizmodo because they seem less professional-y, and also because Engadget writers seem to have a bias towards Apple. (Which used to be Gizmodo's job wasn't it)
Anyway, back on topic, I wonder, does anyone have a link to that blog where this guy was posting about getting Android to work on the iPhone? All I remember is that it was on Blogspot...
