I've found that literally any case will protect your phone, those Otterbox things look like gimmicks to me.
I honestly just want something cheap then
I always thought this was nice http://www.incipio.com/iPhone-4-4S-Cases-Accessories/Incipio-iPhone-4-4S-le-deux-Metal-Case-with-Polycarbonate-Frame.asp
Except the iPhone does use Gorilla Glass. The reason you hear of it breaking so often when dropped is because the glass is elevated above the bezel. Corning employees in Kentucky and New York who create the majority of the glass for iPhone,..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aluminosilicate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorilla_Glass In the Gorilla Glass link it says that the iPhone doesn't use it, and Corning's website doesn't list the iPhone as one of its users.
a friend just got a iphone 4s today at Frys i was messing with it and it's not bad. siri is awesome to mess with. still my htc I enjoy hands down more.

Apple isn't the type of company that would want themselves on Corning's device list. The only reason they actually have brought up any specific suppliers for any part themselves is when they get nagged at about what jobs they create in the US. Most info comes from sources like iSuppli, not Apple. http://www.apple.com/about/job-creation/
But is it possible that Corning is providing a different type of glass, a non-gorilla glass?
More likely supplying Gorilla Glass, but negotiated an agreement to not be on the device list.
I've heard about the thumb reaching all over the 3.5" screen, but your resolution theory is very convincing as well. Alright, iPhone 4S it is. Hopefully the new iPhone looks identical so I'm not stuck with a phone that looks old for 1.5 more years.
This is 5 days late but I'm positively sure that the iPhone 5 is going to have a different design in some way, the original 2G was radically different compared to the 3G, but the 3GS was identical to the 3G, which finally changed on the 4. I wouldn't be surprised to see Apple go to a 4 inch screen.
Get insurance w/e you do :)

Even on the 3.5 inch screen you don't have to squint to see what you're seeing because of how clear the screen is.

We'll just have to see how things pan out.
Can you get a Galaxy S II? If so, do it
I was a dipshit, and got one from best buy. I've never had a cellphone. They were 200$ compared to free-100 everywhere else.
So I just got my one x! Been using it all day and I'd be happy to answer any questions about it.
So I just got my one x! Been using it all day and I'd be happy to answer any questions about it.
How's battery life?
How's battery life?
Not sure yet, haven't had it long enough to get a good feel for it so take my word with a fistful of salt. That said, It's been on battery power for the past 6 hours, I spent at the very least 2 hours surfing and fiddling with apps and 20 mins playing angry birds. It's currently at 56% battery. The screen is on about 20% brightness and looking at the power usage 61% of the power used has been due to the screen. I suppose that's to expect with a screen that bright but if you're indoors you only need about 5% brightness to see clearly so that should give it loads better battery life. I turned mine up while waiting for the buss so I could see in sunlight and forgot to turn it down. I have no idea how good or bad this is for a smartphone as this is my first, if anyone wants me to do some controlled tests on battery life feel free to ask.

Chrome beta for Android is awesome. I don't think it has flash support yet though
Chrome beta for Android is awesome. I don't think it has flash support yet though
I don't think it is getting Flash support, which is crap. What it really needs is a quick useragent toggle switch.
Chrome on the One X is some of the best browsing I've experienced. So smooth and intuitive. Better than my tablet.
I don't think it is getting Flash support, which is crap. What it really needs is a quick useragent toggle switch.
Oh, yeah That annoyed me too And I always thought the default Android browser was chrome because it functioned exactly like Chrome did :v:
