Yea, my 5770 began to die out. I got a powercolor one a few months ago. Apparently I tampered with the card in a way they wouldn't help me out. So I just bought a 4850 and I love it so far, luckily no problems.
Compensation? What?
All MSI are required to do is send you a card that is either valued the same as the one you originally bought or one that has similar performance.
They can also send you a cheque for the original purchase amount.
You don't just get a free card upgrade by using big fancy emails.
I have 2 MSI graphic cards laying around, older ones though but still.
One's a 8400GS for sister's computer, and the other's a 7600GS from an older computer.
Both of them have shit coolers, both passive, and both of the quality that would fall off if I shaked them hard in the air.
I don't get why people buy MSI graphic cards anyways, it's like those who buys gigabyte graphic cards, their speciality isn't graphic cards so you can't exactly expect much from them compared to other great brands such as XFX, EVGA, BFG and so on.

You'd be surprised how spineless some people in the tech support/other areas actually are when people become forceful.
It's a great way to get extra.
This is why I tend to steer clear of brands like MSI. They have horrible customer service as opposed to XFX, Sapphire, EVGA, and a couple others.
Anyways, hope things clear up for you.
Ahahaha.
I'm sorry, XFX has fucking terrible customer service. I have heard many stories from close friends and have had two experiences myself. They're fucking bad.
BFG is where it's at. I hear stories of 8600GTs and other old/slow/out of stock cards that are RMA'd being replaced with GTX 285s and whatnot.
I usually go with EVGA. Good service from what I've experienced, and good cards as well.
same here, especially cause of the stickers :downs: (+1 to you if you get the reference)
