What? I can't figure out what you mean by this.
Linux will soon become obselete, Microsoft's Russian president has claimed.
I thought linux WAS obsolete. Linux will never become a mainstream os and it will remain the os of choice of basement dwellers who want to show off their e-peens.
You know, you fit the bill perfectly for the stereotypical Mac user, Cant maintain/use a PC so has to use an operating system with "childlock" limitations in place.
Please tell me you're joking, lol. I can run gnome-session from inside OSX remotely over X11 on a server 100mi away. What on earth is childlock about that?
Yes, but you obviously aren't a tech illiterate that would go around tinkering with settings and then BOOM.
Formatted hard drive.
Turns out that the main guy arguing against Linux is a child who cannot read, and destroyed his machine. Really makes you take his argument seriously.

Sparkbrowser, end the open source madness.

Or people who like to get things done when they use the computer.

We already knew he was a angry child who doesn't know much about computers. Have you seen the illiterate thread?
i like linux
but i like windows
Or people who like to get things done when they use the computer.
What does that even mean?
What does that even mean?
Usually it is used to make you realize that an OS is more annoying than another one and more likely to disturb you in your work over a certain period of time.
An example would be Windows Updates on XP asking you to reboot constantly. Or the newer Control Panel in Windows 7 which makes it more of a pain to access your network card settings.
I don't really have any good Linux or Mac examples, sorry.
What a crock of bullshit, if compatability with DirectX based games wasnt a problem, I would drop my fucking partition and shove Arch on right this minute.
Same!
openGL people!
Hi, I run OpenBox. I have a minimal overhead and my entire desktop is used for my applications. I open things by hotkeys and in the rare case, a menu. Everything is set up exactly the way I like it and I can use my computer really fast.
Windows needs to be written from scratch to be any better. It has built in features that serve no purpose on Windows 7.

What is the use for pointer trails?
to be an annoying piece of shiiiit
why not?
Windows needs to be written from scratch to be any better. It has built in features that serve no purpose on Windows 7.
Pffftahahahaha! Thanks for the laugh bro. Windows 7 is far superior to any 'in' iteration of linux out there.

Pointer trails are meant for people with vision problems. It lets them track the cursor easier. Seriously, you linux fanboys need to try harder.
Pffftahahahaha! Thanks for the laugh bro. Windows 7 is far superior to any 'in' iteration of linux out there.
Have a funny, because I laughed AT you

I'd rather use a larger and more visible cursor instead, maybe accompanied with a lower resolution.
Again, laughing AT you.
If they want to track the cursor more easily, why don't they slow down the mouse speed?
Microsoft loves to bash open development. remember their recent smear campaign against Open Office?
it's strange that they actually like FireFox (they do, send them a cake every milestone release)
Pffftahahahaha! Thanks for the laugh bro. Windows 7 is far superior to any 'in' iteration of linux out there.
Prove it.
I'd rather use a larger and more visible cursor instead, maybe accompanied with a lower resolution.
Again, laughing AT you.
you know because people with poor vision are going to be able to track that cursor to click on those settings
If they want to track the cursor more easily, why don't they slow down the mouse speed?
Yeah, because it totally makes sense to cripple the mouse speed instead...
[editline]21st November 2010[/editline]
Prove it.
"My dad can beat up your dad"... Seriously?
cursor trails don't even have anything to do with W7, it's been in Windows forever, even 95 has it. in fact it's such a common "feature" in Windows that i'd be surprised Linux and Mac OS don't have that, either, seeing as they're all three competing operating systems.
Pffftahahahaha! Thanks for the laugh bro. Windows 7 is far superior to any 'in' iteration of linux out there.
this is true. 7 is much better than ubuntu, mint, debian, fedora, and mandriva.
"My dad can beat up your dad"... Seriously?
It's more of a request for evidence to support your claim of Windows 7 being superior.
you know because people with poor vision are going to be able to track that cursor to click on those settings
hence larger and more visible cursor.
or else they'll have to move it, just to see it
