Like that.
My friend has a UPS. But i don't know which one to recommend for you ...
No, those things are not for the usual consumer.
Waste of money.
UPSs are great, if you buy a decent one.
Even if you have the good habit of saving things often it is so very easy to lose some work from a power cut.
Be glad the PSU took all the damage and nothing else. When the PSU on my old machine blew, it took the motherboard with it.
I still don't know if it did or not I don't see any psychical damaged tho.

Current here gets cut only like once a year.
Its so stable that there are clocks timed by the phase change of the current (50 hertz)
There are very little country's where this can be done.
The Netherlands
I only ever lose stuff due to bluescreens. If there's ever a storm I keep my ass away from my computer.
Get a UPS not a surge protector. UPS have surge protection and also help against brown out conditions, which are just as bad for parts.
I need to bump this as i am confused as to what i need
It just depends how much of a load you have on your system. Serious gamers with serious computers need the newer 1,000 watt power supplies. And if your system uses 500 watts, and you have a 500 watt power supply, it will not run very well – your power supply needs to be 20% to 40% larger than your load.
