The joke was my useragent settings. I don't really mind/care what people do with useragents, Although I use a Firefox extenstion.
nah, it's easier to just hit it up in about:config
Wich disto is best for external USB HDD (Fat32, i want to keep all my files, could do 2 additional partitions since its 1terabyte).
The USB part doesn't really matter, but you can't install a Linux system on a FAT32 filesystem. You'd have to make a separate partition for it.
I need some help in fedora, basically it says "wired" instead of "wireless" like it normally should, how do I fix it?
use wlan0 instead of eth0? :v:
New Bundle!
Going to buy, hope it has a 64bit version. Even if it does, I'm still pretty sure it'll run like crap on my system.
I find it absurd that they refer to a collection of one game as a "bundle", like the "Frozen Synapse" bundle consisting of a whole of... ONE GAME! I guess that's why they changed the name for the current 'bundle' to "debut" but it still seems retarded imo to be doing this kind of promotion with a single game. It probably works out better profit-wise for that single developer but I much preferred it when it was several packaged together.
In that regard, I think the indie royale 'bundle' was better - I also liked their payment system, where larger prices reduce the minimum payment. That said, they don't donate to charity which is a fair bit of a loss, they don't guarantee no DRM and they don't always have builds for all platforms.
They might add more games later, like they did with the last bundle.

You're not giving much information out here.
If it says wired, then you're either connected through the wired interface, or you have no wireless interface at all.
If the latter is the case, then I see your problem.
But we'll still need some specifications on your computer (as it could be that which may be the problem).
Also, have you had it working before on the same setup?

There was only a 64-bit DEB unfortunately.
The .tar.gz is 32 bit, as is the RPM.
[editline]1st November 2011[/editline]
I did buy it though.
Voxatron looks way more interesting to me than Frozen Synapse did.
So, I'm considering switching from Gentoo to Arch, are there any significant differences between those distros?

No compiling everything. I think that's about it.

The AUR contains just about any software you would want to install.

You could just run it with 32-bit libraries though, even if they clutter your system.

Just extract the 64bit deb and install it yourself as you want?
Just extract the 64bit deb and install it yourself as you want?
The 64bit deb still contains the 32 bit version.

We do have Wireless where I live if that is what you mean, yes I had it working on the same setup before.
I just installed Arch, and I must say it was a much more.. pleasing.. way to install. I configured everything and it worked. Until I decided to install XFCE. Any help on figuring out how to fix this?

What graphics drivers are you using? Open source or closed source?
Open source ATI drivers.

They just added Binding of Isaac and Blocks that Matter today.
Since Binding of Isaac was just ported to Linux as of this bundle, hopefully they port Super Meat Boy like they said they would before.
Open source ATI drivers.
And the problem isn't happening when using something like a Windows system on the same computer?
Try installing the closed source drivers, if the problem persists.

I sure hope they do. Super Meat Boy was great!
So let's say a user in Ubuntu or other common desktop Linux performed "rm -rf /*" as a normal desktop user, not root.
What would be destroyed? Just his /home?
nothing
Well I mean something's gotta get deleted, such as his particular /home folder.
no, nothing gets deleted. it complains about insufficient privileges as soon as you do it.
Nothing at all besides /home and mounted partitions, and files that had been chmodded?
Damn, good because I sort of did that and the desktop background disappeared, so I shat myself and CTRL-C'd

I literally laughed out loud. Why would you need to try to do that?
How do I make xfce my default session in ubuntu when I turn on my computer? i've tried searching and everything just says that by installing it it should default or that there's an option in the pre-11.10 login screen.
I tried figuring out a way to make it not boot into unity 3d because it boots into that instead of unity 2d, which is TERRIBLE on a netbook. After using xfce and seeing how fast it is i don't want to use unity anymore but it looks like that's not an option in 11.10
I've now tried several times to install Ubuntu again on my hard drive, but it always fails at copying some files due to a "read-only file system". I've tried it with CD, even multiple versions(10.04, 11.10, daily 12.04) and also my USB drive, but it's not working.
Also, if my hard drive is actually defect, which I tend to believe by now, can anyone suggest a small distro for an 4GB USB stick?

Should be in that menu if you installed it via apt.
