but now I want to know why I need to see "Apple sux0rz" in the comments section of just about everything apple related on the Internet?
That's something you're just gonna have to put up with, that's just the general consensus on the net, always has been, despite many of the complainers here acting like it's only facepunch with views like these.
I see opinions I don't like on the internet too, and I don't complain about them.
This isn't to say that suddenly I hate Windows Phone 7, hate Android, hate Windows 7. I'm not a mindless idiot like 99% of the MacRumors forums, but I will say that all of this hate towards Apple products is completely unjustified....
It's the ex-windows fanboys like us that make up the best portion of OSX users.
In my opinion, the OSX OS is far superior, but it takes a Windows brain that isn't blindly disregarding it to fully understand, and utilize it.
Otherwise you become that blind mac fanboy that we all hate, just as the windows/pc guy is who wont hear anything about a mac.

Disagree. Largely depends where you go.
You'll get shat on if you talk about windows on any graphic design blog/forum.
You'll get shat on if you talk about Macs on any gaming blog/forum.
Chill, this isn't a personal attack or something. I figured you were talking about this thread and why there was hate in here, but now it seems you're speaking more generally, and no, I can't answer why people would do that. There's no need to call people immature, though.
There's every reason to. Constantly whining about something to people who don't want to listen is completely immature. Especially when it's all been said before. At least get some new material.

Stupid people are for some reason always good at at putting a whole group of people's actions and opinions on one person. If you've read my post, you'll probably see that I'm pretty "moderate". I don't care what you use. I don't care what you like. And I really can't take when people try to tell you what you can post and what you cannot. And about calling people immature - you apparently care what people think, even though you think their opinions are stupid. If you do that, you're what I would call immature.

Then your not the person whom I'm talking about and I don't care what people think, I just care about why they think I care out of curiosity.
immaturity is defending a bad company and calling people who dislike the company dumb for 3 months straight
Pertaining to the first argument, how is defending a bad company acting at an age less than mine? Secondly I post this thread 3 months ago, and after completely forgetting about it (due to assessment, etc) I came remembered it while completing my documentary on the subject, looking for one of these posts to use as an example. The site was down at that point so I used something else but decided to check back on the progress and obtain some clarification to new questions I had. To which I was replied with being personally attacked out of nowhere by you and misunderstood by GoDong-DK on two accounts. For personal reference Kaze, how old are you, if you don't mind my asking and please keep it as civilised as you can in the future. Thanks.
I had to post here, this is one of those topics that really grinds my gears.
I'm a PC man. Always has been. I can't really say anything other than I dislike Apple because of their terrible prices or how they stole ideas.
However, some things just really tick me off. Another thing that's been said dozens of times: The users. Once, I was in college, discussing computers with 4 or so acquaintances. The topic got changed to operating systems, I was the only one that uses a PC, and I choose to do so because I think that it is more user friendly because of it's simplicity and familiarity. Suddenly, I get gang raped with arguments. Everyone's ganging up on me with arguments that "It's just better", and when I ask why, they just restate their irrelevant argument. They also said that it is better for art, which is what I'm going to major in. I find Adobe Everything a lot easier to use with a PC. I think that in simplifying their products, Apple is actually making Macs a lot harder to use for people that want to migrate from PC to Mac, something that they are actually aiming for.
The PC vs. Mac debate can be explained with videogames, as an example. I'd much rather play an old-school Mario game than some high-tech graphics shoot-em-up, because Mario is a familiar face that I recognize, and with its easy to understand gameplay and controls, we can all agree that it is a swell game for all to enjoy, rather than a game that cares more about its graphics than its play-ability. All Mac users used a PC at one point, so they should be able to see from a PC user's perspective, but most of them tend to ignore that.
But that is just my opinion. I don't shove my favor of PCs down Mac users throats, why the hell should they care whether or not I like Apple's products?
tl;dr - I had first hand experience on how terrible mac users can be toward PC users. I prefer a familiar, simpler computer to that of a flashy, expensive one and Apple does not deliver.

You haven't offended me, most stuff on the internet does not. I simply pointed out that you either need to just care a bit less, and that your post was somewhat hypocritical. I don't know if I have to point it out, but making a thread about the subject "apple hate" and not expect it to turn into a pile of shit (not that your OP did any effort in preventing it, really), is a bit gullible. And why do you have to tell people "come up with new things"? If a group is subject to hate, it's normally because of the same reasons across the board. "Gays are fags", "God hates gays", "The Nazis killed 7 million jews, and had some pretty bland architecture". People are not gonna come up with new reasons all the time, that's just how it is. I personally dislike Apple because of how they do business and, to a lesser extend, their commercials, but some people hate Apple because of completely outragous reasons, closing in on the argument "Apple killed and raped my family". When you say "come up with new reasons", you're really just invalidating any argument or reason people might have to hate/dislike Apple.
I don't see why people complain that android is slow. I never had any problems on my Transformer with speed.

For most of your arguments about the people I do agree, they can be like that but I hope you don't carry bad impressions of anyone you see with a Mac or other Apple product in the street because stereotypes are only the most seen not the largest portion of a group.

What was the basis of a personal attack then if not for me offending you and the statement of Come up with new reasons is not my attempt to avoid statements I don't like, but it does seem that the only reason people find to dislike apple are that it's more expensive than what they are used to with a windows machine.
I apologise about the rudeness of my previous posts, it just seems from everything you've posted in this thread that you're being extremely bias in this discussion.
If you want my serious opinion, people hate apple because of the price and history of the company - such as the iPhone spyware, repeated suing of other companies and even faking documents so they look better etc. Hating apple users is the exact same as 360 players hating PS3 users, it won't end and there will always be elitists on each side. You just have to ignore it.

Being used to the smoothness of an iPad or even a Nexus S, Android tablets are still junk. Even with a quad-core Tegra 3. I saw a video of the Transformer Prime and it was still fucking laggy. Only thing I can think of is how an iPhone 2G (first generation) with a 400MHz craptastic CPU, a shit GPU, and 128MB of RAM be smoother than a 1GHz quad core processor with 1GB of RAM and a fucking Tegra 3 GPU.

Thats simple; the iPhone 2G did nothing. No graphics, no backgrounding, nothing nothing. It was single tasks only. Why can command prompt run smoothly but when I try to edit HD videos it lags? Its asking completly different tasks of the hardware. Once you start putting backgrounds and shenanigans onto the older models, they lag up a storm. It's basic computer knowledge 101. Which a Windows enthusiast should know I'd say...

How about a more modern example? iPad 1 vs. Transformer Prime. 1 core vs 4. Awesome GPU vs. not so awesome GPU. 1GB RAM vs 256MB RAM. Yet the iPad 1 is smooth and the Transformer Prime is laggy.
Don't treat me as a fanboy. I've tried almost everything out there with the exception of Symbian and WebOS. I have my opinions on everything. Android on tablets just sucks ass so far. That's why it hasn't been selling.
Anyway, the iPhone 3G has the same hardware as the first generation iPhone and on iOS3.x (which does have lots of features) runs smoother than most Android phones out there rocking 1GHz processors, etc.

Even though it's a bad, bad idea to compare the iPad to the Prime, here: http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/22/asus-transformer-prime-gets-a-stomach-full-of-ice-cream-sandwich/
I don't see any lag, anywhere. That isn't a big feat considering the specs, but saying it lags is just far out. I've tried a stock honeycomb tablet (with a tegra 2, of course), and I really can't relate to the lag you're mentioning. I don't own one, though, so I can't really say you're wrong.

From the Android tabs i've seen this lag stems not so much from laggyness but from the actual finger tracking of the software. It just isnt the same as Apple's scrolling smoothness all the time. It's hit and miss really, sometimes it will be smooth and nice, other times it can be a swipe...wait...animation. Prehaps the new tablets out will be improved, haven't tried ICS which looks promising...hopefully they can deliver a nice smooth experience all of the time.
Have had a look at that transformer video, looks nice and smooth, will be following that to see how it turns out. Havent really tried any high end tablets since we don't seem to get them at retail until months after here in Aus but they appear to be quite nice and on par with "Apple Smoothness" now which is good to see.

You seem to think that everything I say in reply to you, is directly identifying you. You called me gullible and immature, which I, and i'm sure others, would consider insults and therefore a personal attack regardless of what you claim. I also am well aware there are other reasons but you seem to only read what you want to read because I was saying that is the only thing people comment on. No one says "Apple is shit because they sue everyone" or any of the other many completely valid reasons which I completely agree with, you hear "apple is shit because they are overpriced" or "apple is shit because their people are douches and assholes". Please don't make me out to be biased or something I'm not without understanding my post fully. I am not trying to compete with anything, I love all technology, it's the most amazing, interesting subject, i am simply asking a question that has been seen as being the whining complaints of a fanboy, when that is simply not the case.

The solution to this is not to throw dual or quad core processors that are utterly useless because few developers want to take the risk and make use of all that in games, but to optimise the hardware for the software. Without trying to say anything: Apple only has a few phones to optimize for, Android is much more diversed. And while Apple might optimize a lot, iOS 5 has been pretty rough for many users, even people with iPhone 4s (how the fuck am I supposed to put that in plural now, Apple?) which aren't that much behind hardware-wise.

That's probably the biggest issue I have with Android. Otherwise it's fucking awesome.
That's probably the biggest issue I have with Android. Otherwise it's fucking awesome.
It's a double edged sword, I agree.
Apple makes sure iOS and their developers applications are optimized perfectly for the hardware in their most recent device. Meanwhile, there are devices like the Transformer Prime that only have a handful of apps that can take advantage of that quad-core CPU, which basically makes having it pointless. However, the sheer level of customization on Android is fucking amazing. It's really a game of "Do I want something that looks really nice and is optimized well for the hardware?" or "Do I want something I can swap EVERY PART OF THE DESIGN out on, but isn't necessarily coded to work to it's full ability on the hardware it comes with?" Which is basically down to a per user taste. Neither in inherently better than the other 100% it's just that they are better in some facets of their capability than the other choices for that user.
The same can be said for the Mac vs. PC debate to be honest. So the argument that "ZOMFG PC IS BETTUR" or the converse of that, is basically a retarded statement. You might find that Windows/Linux works better for YOUR PERSONAL NEEDS. But I might find OS X/Linux works better for my personal needs. Basically, fuck the Mac vs. PC debate, just fucking use what you fucking like and ignore people that say it's stupid.
I agree you make a very good point and your opinion is not only respected but a very sensible and logical one.
