Thats debatable.
Speaking visually, i mean the Mac Pro to me at least is a far better looking computer than the sorta crap alienware make, with it's pointless neons and vulgar and useless air ducts.

Minimalist to clusterfuck. I really liked Apples black polycarbonate laptops, they were basic which appeals to me, I don't like their aluminium unibody stuff, though. And I still think the iMac is hideous, they could very easily ditch that useless slab of metal at the bottom which only serves the purpose of giving the oversized fruit logo somewhere to sit.

But fair dos, i agree that the iMac does throw away a lot of screen space with the block of metal and makes it look more chunky than it needs to be, but i do like the unibody laptops and yeah as far as polycarbonate MacBooks went the black one was pretty cool compared to the white ones.

Much better than the white, in my opinion. The white iPhone is pretty ugly as well, in my opinion, but if people like the option, keep it.

And to me, I think the front of the iMac is beautiful. :v: It really depends on the user.
And to me, I think the front of the iMac is beautiful. :v: It really depends on the user.
Hmm, it would look nicer if it was the same as their new cinema displays, but thicker to accomodate the hardware.
You seem to think that everything I say in reply to you, is directly identifying you. You called me gullible and immature, which I, and i'm sure others, would consider insults and therefore a personal attack regardless of what you claim. I also am well aware there are other reasons but you seem to only read what you want to read because I was saying that is the only thing people comment on. No one says "Apple is shit because they sue everyone" or any of the other many completely valid reasons which I completely agree with, you hear "apple is shit because they are overpriced" or "apple is shit because their people are douches and assholes". Please don't make me out to be biased or something I'm not without understanding my post fully. I am not trying to compete with anything, I love all technology, it's the most amazing, interesting subject, i am simply asking a question that has been seen as being the whining complaints of a fanboy, when that is simply not the case.
I don't know why I haven't seen this post before (maybe a less tired version of me making it out to not be a good idea), but yeah:
Because they are suing every competitor just because they want a monopoly, not because they legitimately stole something (which they didn't). And because it's not suprising in the least that they are doing it. They just have a reputation of being the stereotypical evil and greedy company.
Just click on the quote link, you got it pretty fast. The thread was derailed into an OS discussing faster than whatever, so expecting anything reasonable is pretty far out.
I hate how I can't use my wireless mouse and play a game at the same time on my MBP as the shitty foxconn motherboard inside is incapable of providing full power to both the gpu and the USB ports at the same time
i am still agitated by this [editline]5th December 2011[/editline] oh wow, these mid 2010 13in. macbook pros go for $900 on ebay as i have a galaxy tab 10.1 now i dont need this joke anymore i gave apple a chance (5 chances actually) and they failed me each time fuck apple

1. because that's apple's fault 2. because that's apple's fault (i do slightly agree that the chrome backing is a little delicate though) 3. okay 4. manufacturing error, blame the foxconn factory workers (that nintendo, intel, sony and a bunch of other companies also you)
you know what's annoying as shit? "apple is a fucking cult" oh my god words do not express
There have been studies that show that the area of the brain normally dedicated towards religious thoughts becomes more active when certain people think about Apple products. http://articles.businessinsider.com/2011-05-21/tech/29982282_1_apple-stores-steve-jobs-brain http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-20064577-71.html http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13416598 Then there's the whole macrumours site and that amount of fervour. There are genuinely people who are acting like they are in a cult. Sure it's not everyone, not even the majority, but there are a tiny minority who are basically in a cult.
There's nothing religious about it, it's called loving a brand. You'll find most people love Valve on here, and it's only because they don't have dedicated stores that you don't get hordes of facepunch members standing in front of them [editline]7th December 2011[/editline]
1. 2007 mac mini's ethernet port killed itself 2. 2nd gen ipod touch got its delicate chrome rear pannel all scuffed up in a week bedore i got a case for it even though i was super careful with it 3. 1st gen ipad kept forgetting my wifi password even though my ipod touch never did 4. Anyhow, I don't love nor hate either company, but of course I like Valve more.
There's nothing religious about it, it's called loving a brand. You'll find most people love Valve on here, and it's only because they don't have dedicated stores that you don't get hordes of facepunch members standing in front of them
I'm talking about the Apple fans who scorn any other piece of technology just because it isn't Apple. The equivilant would be people who refuse to buy any game but a Valve game, refusing any game that doesn't have Valve as the publisher, or developer. It's a bad analogy, trying to link Valve to Apple. Those tiny minority (and I mean less than 1%) are the ones who give the bad name.
There's a lot of people who find Apple as a designer brand as well, and that can be compared to clothes brands, as I know a lot of people who will only buy a certain brand of clothes, which is just stupid
Precisely, and I think the same about them as I do about the rabid Apple fans. Liking is fine, loving is fine, but automatically shooting down anything just because it isn't is not fine.

Why, it is a horde of loyal zombies having their wallets drained.
they are excited for a product ಠ_ಠ
Thats just a minor understatement.
There's nothing religious about it, it's called loving a brand. You'll find most people love Valve on here, and it's only because they don't have dedicated stores that you don't get hordes of facepunch members standing in front of them
this is put perfectly. also, using your logic, the people who go to midnight releases of CoD or skyrim are a part of a cult?
this is put perfectly. also, using your logic, the people who go to midnight releases of CoD or skyrim are a part of a cult?
I can understand people that go to a release of something because of the mood, whether it's an Apple product or a game. I don't think the reason is the same, though. With Skyrim or whatever, it's people who are anticipating the game, and want to be a part of it. With Apple products, I see it more as if they simply want to be the first to get said product, mainly because it's an Apple product, and not because of the "adventure". I may sound like some batshit crazy person, but video games are all about experiencing something you can't in the real world, while smartphones and that alike (not just the iPhone) is about showing it off, and viewing the world through it. I somehow find that less positive, and thus I don't see it as the same. It's just my odd opnoin, though, and I won't be offended if it's dismissed.
this is put perfectly. also, using your logic, the people who go to midnight releases of CoD or skyrim are a part of a cult?
No, that's extrapolating wildly and incorrectly. If they refused to play any game other than CoD, just because it isn't CoD, then yes, but not just because they go to a midnight release, which does constitute brand loyalty. Here's an article with a guy with a university degree, mentioning his thoughts. And again, remember that this is just the hardcore extremists. wired.com/gadgets/mac/commentary/cultofmac/2002/12/56674?currentPage=all

also have you ever realized that apple fanboys don't flood the google subforum with a bunch of bullshit like you guys do to this forum?
