Did you sell your last rig? If so... where? :L I'm struggling to flog mine, got it on gumtree atm but no replies :/.
I'm going to put the parts into an old suitcase that I've got from the '50 and make a Fallout-themed mod. If you want to sell your old rig, try eBay.

Lol nice.
CiT 1003 Case
Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 @2.5GHz with Arctic Cooling Freezer7Pro s775 Cooler
2GB (2x1GB Dual Channel) Corsair TwinX XMS2 RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD4730 512MB Graphics
Corsair 450HX 450W Power Supply
You could probably get ~40$ for the CPU, the same for the GPU and that applies to the PSU, too. Prices on RAM are pretty low right now, so not much for that. But if you sell it all in that case, I guess you could get ~400$ from a naive buyer. Craigslist is your friend.
Craigslist over here is useless, unless you're a gay male "xxxLOOKING FOR NSA FUNxxx". It's a pretty horrible place...
Got it sitting at £300 on gumtree atm, hopefully I can shift it for at lease 280...

Buy a couple of LED's and put them in there, then proceed to make it sound less bad. Overclock the CPU by .2GHZ, and the RAM and GPU by some incredibly small amount.
EXTREME INTEL 2.7GHZ OVERCLOCKED PROCESSOR GAMING COMPUTER!
SPECS:
INTEL EXTREME OVERCLOCKED 2.7GHZ CPU!
2GB OVERCLOCKED DOUBLE DATA RATE II RAM!
ATI RADEON HD 4730 EXTREME CUSTOM OVERCLOCK!
EXTREME GAMING CASE.
I am a huge advocate of SSD's however I agree with what others have said in here, you should only really include SSD's in builds starting around the £800 mark. However if you do get a SSD down the line just get a 30GB, don't bother with a 60GB like someone mentioned on here, 30GB is perfect for Windows plus a couple select programs.

Been there done that. Surprisingly I sold a build with a 7900GS for $300.
