generic AT&T flip phone

Samsung Blackjack II
Samsung Captivate
Samsung Propel - total crap
Samsung Captivate
Imo iPhone is better. Most phones with Android are slow, besides the new HTCs and actual Droid phones. Although AT&T is so goddamn expensive.
Also I've upgraded once from a crappy Flip phone that I don't even know the name to a Sidekick 2008.
Most phones with Android are slow
not at all true. A handful of early android phones are a bit sluggish, but all the newer ones run pretty well.

This. I can't think of any android phones that i would describe as slow. Especially not in the iPhone price range.
My phone history:
That's right, I've never had a phone.
A fellow blackjack series user :unsmith:
I had the blackjack II.
Such a terrible phone.

Quite a lot of the phones come with a build of Android that is sluggish. It's up to the consumer to flash another ROM.

Neither of them are better than the other. It depends on what type of user you are.
I don't understand why people hate iPhones so much
what's so bad about them
name 10 reasons why iphones are bad
1. THE GLASS CAN BREAK EASILY. Lemme go read my PCWorld Magazine of Jan. 2011.
2. Apple.
3. Poor reception, because of the stupid manufacturers placing the antenna near where most people put their hand (I don't know if i'm right or wrong)
4. AT&T.
5. It's overpopular - and it sucks.
6. Android is more better.
7. Wait, isn't it made of aluminum?
8. Too expensive.
9. When it was revealed, it was proof that Apple hides shit behind our backs.
and, finally, 10. Apple.. well.. is a "good" company, because of all the Apple fans, but, smartphones are a bad choice for them. They should stay with computers and iPods. iPod Touch is NOT FINE. It's like a stripped down version of the iPhone. iPhones are over-rated, along with AT&T's bad service. They should just stop making iPhones - they just update it until they think they should stop. That is what I think they should do with it.
THANKS FOR READING THIS
Apple is a fine company, and they make beautiful products. The only thing that sucks ass is that everything is overpriced. It's not overpopular, at least it doesn't seem to me, and if it is to you - it's because it's advanced. Another downside on the iPhone is definitely the provider - AT&T. They fit together, don't get me wrong. AT&T plans are overpriced and so is the iPhone (and everything Apple makes).
Apple has been overpriced ever since they got into the computer business. If I remember correctly, there Apple Lisa (if my memory is working) was a whopping $10,000. Even though it was the first home computer with Graphical User Interface, it was still insanely overpriced (and it was the computer era, where they just started learning shit about technology).
That's my little rant about Apple.
[editline]31st December 2010[/editline]
Actually, I wouldn't necessarily say 'advanced'. I would say they're keeping up, fairly.

These arguments hold no water for their mobile devices, though. All smartphones out there cost 500 dollars + unlocked. iPod touch is priced properly for how much shit it can do. If anything, Apple's prices are going lower and lower. Doesn't anybody remember the iPhone 2G and how it was 500 dollars..on contract? You get an iPhone 4 for 200 bucks now and a 3GS for 100. Not so fucking bad.
But their computers? Yeah, they're overpriced to shit. They think the aluminum warrants an extra thousand dollars.
Anyway, I wouldn't say they're just 'keeping up' when you consider how much they've changed the smartphone scene and now the tablet scene. If anything, everyone else is playing catch up. I'm no fanboy but I can admit that without them we'd probably be stuck with this shit:

Can we all shut the fuck up about apple. I don't like Apple, but I'm not whining about how they suck or doesn't suck.

Yes. Let's stop whining about how crappy Apple is. Instead, let's praise the Nokia N900 because it's such an awesome device.

Holy shit it's so smooth, I should try it on my N900
Already tried Froyo, was slow as shit because it was installed on the external memory card, although applications and everything ran great when they finished loading.
I still think Maemo is way better than Android, much more customizable and open, the only problem is that it's not popular at all (one fucking smartphone running it? what the hell Nokia)
And MicroB is the best mobile browser ever
Also,

Hey screw you buddy, that phone's sweet. It's just the OS that's a bit :downs: - and probably only due to age at this point.

I have Froyo installed on a external MC at the moment. Works pretty smooth except for the home desktops and app menu.
Nokia 3310
Sharp GX-15
Sony Ericson K880i (still after 3.5 years of torture)
Droid - Good phone, but laggy. I don't like Android.
