3750K is mine I tell you. In fact, I may pick up an i7 once these come out just for the hell of it.
No?
So you're just stupid? Or said in a slightly friendlier manner; don't give advice if don't really know what you're talking about. You might make people send money, that they really don't need to.

Hmm... Should I upgrade from my i7 920?
Yes
you can't be serious are you?
you can't be serious are you?
He is. He was considering buying a SB-E just because he has a growing interest in 3D modeling. Oh and he's 13.
he's 13.
'Nuff said.
age isn't really something to judge someone on I've been posting more or less the same way for the last 4 years and I'm turning 17 in 4 months
age isn't really something to judge someone on I've been posting more or less the same way for the last 4 years and I'm turning 17 in 4 months
There are exceptions of course but most of the time 13 year olds are retards. Also i thought you were a lot older.
Pepper;34185350'] Also i thought you were a lot older.
I thought this too.
Wait, Odellus is 16. Holy shit.
can someone explain the difference between sandy bridge-e and Ivy bridge and will there be a Ivy bridge-e
Wait, Odellus is 16. Holy shit.
:~)
I thought you were 20 or something
Maybe I will upgrade... from my dual core 3.33GHz E8500 :(
can someone explain the difference between sandy bridge-e and Ivy bridge and will there be a Ivy bridge-e
IB-E is based on the Ivybridge architecture (?), and as far as we know it will be faster than SB-E.
Hmm... Should I upgrade from my i7 920?
Depends. You'll have to change motherboard too. Look at the benchmarks and decide if it's worth the performance increase, that's all really as you are the only one who knows how much you need the money you are going to spend and how much you need the performance increase.
Yes
Just because you're stupid enough to waste your parents money doesn't mean he is.
age isn't really something to judge someone on I've been posting more or less the same way for the last 4 years and I'm turning 17 in 4 months
Funny because I turned 20 a month ago and I still look like I'm 16-17 (at least I don't think I act the same though). Some guy on CSS the other day thought I was 15 while talking to him, guess I'm forever a beta faggot

In the same boat as you still i get kid discounts at the theatre and shit, so not a entire loss
I cant wait to upgrade im doing this shit now...
can someone explain the difference between sandy bridge-e and Ivy bridge and will there be a Ivy bridge-e
Ivy Bridge is based on a 22nm process, while Sandy Bridge is based on a 32nm one. That change makes it more power efficient, and they'll be able to push the clocks higher. They're also gonna introduce "3D transistors" which supposedly increases performance 33%. There's also gonna be some other improvements, some of them mandatory, and I haven't really read about those. Overall you're looking at a ~50% increase in performance over SB. There'll probably be an Ivy Bridge-E, but I can't really say what'll change, other than the amount of cores and cache size.
I can't wait until it's upgrade time for me.
I really hope that the mobile chips are gonna see similar improvements over Sandy Bridge, I hope that my desicion to wait another year is worth it.
Someone I know is planning to upgrade to Ivy Bridge when it comes out, and if he does he was going to sell his 2500k to me. At the moment I currently have a i5 750. Because the bastards at Intel decided to swap a few pins round and create the 1155 socket, I will also need a new motherboard. So the cost will be: 2nd hand 2500k + New motherboard - i5 750 - ASUS P7H57D-V Is this a worthwhile upgrade?
no [editline]13th January 2012[/editline] Also why on earth are you using XP on an i5 750?
age isn't really something to judge someone on I've been posting more or less the same way for the last 4 years and I'm turning 17 in 4 months
I always thought that you were early 20's until I saw how angry you get over people with rainmeter. Seriously, whenever you post about it I imagine you as Nick Griffin frothing at the mouth because he saw a black guy. Definitely getting one of these, a new board and a new card as my next upgrade. I'll wait for some reviews to see which one is the best for the price. Hopefully by then the rest of the AMD 7 series and the new NVIDIA series will be out too.
Definitely getting one of these, a new board and a new card as my next upgrade.
I wasn't even mad, it was just that every single component from Rainmeter he had was completely useless (hard drive usage, cpu usage, like 2 or 3 clocks, etc)
You seemed pretty angry at the time. What makes those useless anyway? Just because you don't have a use for them he doesn't? For example, keyboards with media keys have no advantages for me as I don't use media keys; however some people do use media keys making them useful to them and not useless.
Pepper;34194938']Also why on earth are you using XP on an i5 750?
Good god, I would never do such a thing. I was posting from a college computer, they've not upgraded to 7 yet.
