Yeah? I got a GTX 560 Ti and my computer has been getting some lag on The Old Republic and occasionally Skyrim at 1920x1080.

Why haven't you upgraded?
Because................. its like......... 17 years old, and i doubt you can upgrade that shit.

I ran an AMD 1800+ with Radeon 7500 into the ground. It was really good at running HL1.

Then why did you post :v:
You may as well have said "lol, you call that slow, how about using a 20Mhz blah blah etc in 1990".

Because I wanted to and its a free forum and he asked me why I haven't upgraded and I said it's sitting in a closet but that I still have it. And why does it concern you anyway?

Because "I wanted to and it's a free forum".
Excuse me for discussing things on a discussion forum.
You must be dumb for thinking you can get away with using the same thing I said when I asked you why does it concern you.

His computer is made on an 130mm process, it must be from like, the sixties.
My boyfriend worked in a lab that was developing 22nm and <22nm manufacturing processes.
He was a research physicist helping to design and test the near perfect mirrors which reflect light back at the precise wavelengths needed for manufacturing the tiny circuits.
The tech he worked on will be in the next line of processors, which is pretty cool. He's a clever guy.

The AMD 2000+ is also 130mm process....
lol millimeters
Eh fuck I meant nanometer.
130mm process would mean the processor die is almost the size of my house.
130mm process would mean the processor die is almost the size of my house.
130mm is only about 4 - 5 inches....
130mm is only about 4 - 5 inches....
Imagine that as a transistor, and placed a billion times.
Imagine that as a transistor, and placed a billion times.
I derped... I thought he was just talking about the size of the processor core itself...
130mm is only about 4 - 5 inches....
I laughed really hard at that. Still am.
Imagine that as a transistor, and placed a billion times.
And now imagine a fermi-based chip with that fab size
It would be the size of a country!
More like a volcanic island
Yes but then watercooling
