psh yo ivy intel proc aint got nthing on my athlon x4 (four processors) [sp] box [/sp]
psh yo ivy intel proc aint got nthing on my athlon x4 (four processors) [sp] box [/sp]
Cannot tell if trolling or retard.
Cannot tell if trolling or retard.
It's a joke that didn't quite work properly.
I still laughed. :v:

So... If I'm going to be upgrading my rig for $400 (Considerably less devoted to CPU, since I've got to get a motherboard and RAM as well.), and I decide to get an Ivy Bridge, what are my options? I've heard they run on the same sockets Sandy Bridge uses, so I could get a Sandy Bridge motherboard and have it work with the Ivy Bridge chips, right?

I wouldn't expect them to be much more expensive than current SB ones either. But yes, an Ivy Bridge CPU will work in an LGA 1155 mobo with a socket that was for the Sandy Bridge generation.
Hmm... Something to keep in mind, then. Although I seem to recall seeing PCI-E 3.0 and USB 3.0 on certain SB boards. What's the deal with that?
Hmm... Something to keep in mind, then. Although I seem to recall seeing PCI-E 3.0 and USB 3.0 on certain SB boards. What's the deal with that?
they add USB 3.0 / PCI-E 3.0 but the motherboard chipsets don't handle it
they add USB 3.0 / PCI-E 3.0 but the motherboard chipsets don't handle it
So... It's extra money for no return?
So... It's extra money for no return?
Meaning... The PCIe 3.0 and USB 3.0 is from thirdparty chips. Z77 boards for IB will have native USB 3 and PCIe3 done with the CPU and chipset.
z77 lol
Meaning... The PCIe 3.0 and USB 3.0 is from thirdparty chips. Z77 boards for IB will have native USB 3 and PCIe3 done with the CPU and chipset.
I see. Thanks.
z77 lol
What's funny?
Meaning... The PCIe 3.0 and USB 3.0 is from thirdparty chips. Z77 boards for IB will have native USB 3 and PCIe3 done with the CPU and chipset.
Does SB not having native USB 3 explain why I can't use my keyboard or mouse in those ports?
What's funny?
He laughs at every single typo even if it's completely irrelevant, or hardly even noticeable Like if someone made a thread clearly about a 6970, but they misspelled the title as 6790, he'd post in there just to say "lol 6790" and receive 5x agree ratings while the op gets spammed with dumbs such is life in H&S

Anyone else think Intel is going too fast by pushing that many CPU's on the market? I mean, god dayum.. SB just got to its best point and now they're like "Nope", moar. Quality > quantity... not necessarily a problem knowing Intel.
I dont get all of this upgrading stuff. I have a C2D e6320 (1.86GHz@2.41) and I can play tf2 (Most demanding game I play) @ 1920x1080 @16xAA, at no less than 60fps, so why should I upgrade? :v:

Source does not need a lot of power to max out everything. People want to have the best speed, lower power consumption etc. Some want to do everything faster, like compiling code and rendering videos.

I'd love to get this but I've vowed to not upgrade unless I really have to, i.e. when my motherboard bites the dust and decides to take half the system with it.
I don't wanna sound hostile, but why post in a thread about a new processor line if you don't even care for upgrading or getting the newest stuff?
Because forums are for discussion, not circlejerking over stuff.

But where is the typo. Z77 is the IV chipset. Edit: I thought it wasn't. Damn this place is confusing.
