Sadly mine just has a tiny range by default (It's like 90-144 or something) and expanding the range via CRU creates insanely obvious flickering.
Newer revisions have a firmware with an expanded range and LFC, as well as much less flickering. I don't want to send my monitor to Samsung for them to update it.
I received 3 defective monitors before I got my good one.
I actually still have all 3 drunk "reviews" of them unlisted on YT.
I've opened about 15 batteries. So far I got four cells which are completely bad, take no charge, <1v and when I pump charge with my powersupply they lose is instantly. Another 4-5 get really hot even at 500mA. But the rest I charged fully and will takes in a week to see how many kept their charge. I need more of those little plastic racks for them.
I'd love to see these reviews
from what i've seen, the person(s) sending that email did buy a password leak and are trying to scam people out of it
so you possibly used hurrdurr somewhere
It's basically me mumbling about monitors for too long.

I hate monitors that you can't update the firmware yourself.
Cracked my phone screen for the first time today.
No idea how it happened.
RIP
Soak a q-tip in hydrogen peroxide then give it a little dab, maybe? Careful not to let excess peroxide out.
If the cell is registering that low (sub-1V), it's already built dendrites, and you can't recover it. Not to mention it's very likely to start a fire.
Just discard the cell if it's that low.

Built a badge for Defcon this evening. Yes it's from Texas, and yes it's shaped like a beer bottle.
Are you Mr. Regular in disguise?

I think he sounds like a mix of Mr. Regular, AVE, and the alien that took the place of the farmer in MiB 1.
It's my bestest Mr. Plinkett impersonation:

ho boy just spend an hour trying to recover from my own fuckup
evidently to remove a dual-booted linux system you can't just delete the linux partition
honestly I think I did this same exact thing like four years ago
Yeah, you're meant to delete the windows partition silly.
which is what I'm doing
Why do I have to send in my charger for a screen replacement Samsung?

Weird, when I sent my phone in for a broken screen they specifically said not to send anything apart from the phone and they wouldn't send them back if I did.
No, get them to 3.7V, that's the storage voltage for lithium cells. It's when they're at their most stable.
Furthermore, 3.7V is in the constant current region still, so if the cell isn't dead (2.8V or above), you can just give it 500-1000mA constant current until it gets to 3.7V and then stop.
i think he was talking about discharging cells (saltwater (bad), dummy load) for disposal
I'm going to not send them and see how they respond.
Wouldn't recommend that either, though it's probably not dangerous.
Covering the ends well, is enough.

This is causing me great discomfort.
got my x230 a dock and it came with the keys, nice.

When my sister sent in her Asus Zenfone for a faulty headphone jack they also requested the charger and everything the phone came with
I tried that once.
It wouldn't boot with more than 3GB of RAM installed because the BIOS' memory mapping was garbage.
I can still remember the first time I launched ut99

hot shit
That's because GRUB is usually installed on that partition. You probably just deleted your bootloader.
It's an easy fix tho, Windows has a utility to repair this on the installer images.
yeah it was easy to fix, just took an hour because a) I had to burn a repair usb and b) the Bootrec command wasn't playing nice with my system so I had to do some digging before I found a solution that worked
I knew exactly what I had done as soon as I rebooted and felt like a dumbass after I had just told my discord friends I'd "be right back"
