Took me a moment to figure out what that is, and then remember why it's necessary.
I use Bluetooth earphones when I go outside, but I'll probably never buy a phone within the next decade that doesn't have a 3.5mm jack, I'm not carrying a dongle with me.
idk, power delivery is one thing usb-c does quite well if you just follow one simple rule; just carry a laptop brick.
They're not much bigger than regular cell phone bricks and you can charge your laptop off one too.
I mean, it's been 4 years since the spec was published, most issues with adhering to spec have been worked out in a year or two.
You generally won't have any issues if you avoid buying incredibly cheap stock off Aliexpress or obviously badly reviewed items

Biggest type C issue is still adoption really
to be fair the most recent issue has been nintendo potentially fucking up the switch as far as PD goes
allegedly some third party docks would brick the switch, but i've never seen any official statement or teardown that would explain why

Dafuq is this shit.
I can't fathom how that shit would survive deletion with a live Linux, but then again, it's NTFS so you never know what exactly is going on.
My guess would be some sort of filesystem index corruption.
Disk cleanup usually removes it just fine.
I was setting up a new server so I'd have a personal professional one.
Set up Cloudflare and got nginx installed and set up, but for some reason I kept getting a 502 on Cloudflare's end.
I forgot to actually point the domain to my server's IP so it was pointing to a fake IP that Cloudflare filled in.
😒🔫
Agreed, there's no way it should be able to ignore getting deleted in the Linux environment.
Try running a filesystem repair tool e.g. ntfsfix that's included with ntfs-3g
As someone on the support side. The big issue is fucking cable makers not making spec cables.
Yeah, usually. This is the first time I've run into a problem like this. It's annoying to have the folder there, but otherwise it obviously doesn't affect the day-to-day. I'll just hide the folder. I'm honestly too lazy to look into it further when likely I'll format in the next month before I move out.
Holy SHIT.
My micro center is selling the surface book 2 for $700 off MSRP
Just your specific store? Well shit. I need a new laptop :/
Well it might be all of them, it’s 500 off plus the extra 200 for a .edu email
I was in Italy for a week and came back, hoping that it would be colder here but noo, the heatwave reached here too.
Apparently one guy got sent home from work on friday and today a girl collapsed due to the heat. Not surprised if they are going to send us all home on some day this week.
get it
get it now
I love my Surface but have wanted a Surface Book since I saw how well the GPU keyboard performs.
Still very early days but me and a few of my mates have finally gotten a somewhat working ESX desktop client. And it interfaces with 6.7 just fine.

All of the icons are still a bit screwed up thanks to using old code from a previous client, but this thing saves us the hassle of fucking with the web client when all we want to do is just start a few servers at the start of the day. Not too bad considering how VMware limited the vim api in many ways.
I'm not seeing it anywhere :/. Just the $130 and $150 for the Surface Pro and Surface Book.
I love trying to deal with CVS' website.
I moved a while ago and I forgot to transfer my prescriptions. No problem! Just log in, hit "transfer", select "transfer from CVS to another CVS pharmacy", boom!
Except their backend service is 503'ing for one out of 20 requests... Guess I don't get my meds.
Welp.
Now there's a .trash-999 directory, containing the "deleted" windows.old directory on my C:\ drive
And,

It's all part of the Windows design, for your safety... 🙃
You should be able to sudo rm -rf that as well. To see those kinds of folders in the Linux terminal, do ls -a instead of just ls.
Surprisingly enough, the folder was visible anyway, and yeah the sudo rm -rf command did work on it. Hnnnng.
Gotta channel my inner Frodo:
"It's gone... It's done."
What a headache that shit was.
Because Google basically abandoned Google Play Music and half of the shit doesn't work with it (including using a dedicated non-Android client directly from Google and uploading your own music to the service). I was looking for an alternative, and found out that you can just slap your niche music library to OneDrive into a "Music" folder and groove music would basically pull music from that to play from your cloud storage. I'm also paying family Office 365 plan, which gives me 1TB of Onedrive storage so I could just slap my whole library there and not be limited by song count like on GMusic.
I was kinda happy that I found an alternative, until I realized that Microsoft axed the android and ios apps in december and that feature is Windows mobile, Xbox One and Win10 only now
GOD DAMMIT.
Do you not have expandable storage or is your library just really big?
Having dual 200 GB SD card slots is the greatest thing ever.
but you can still upload your own songs to it?
This is why you keep \Windows on its own partition separate from your actual data, so you can format when NTFS starts to get hokey about something and not worry about having everything backed up
because sometimes it's easier to just demolish the outhouse and dig a new hole than it is to clean up the results of whatever gas station sushi Windows keeps getting into
Out of curiosity, why not just use spotify?
