Linux refers to that behavior as "session saving", and usually lets you turn it off.
I think the setting for it in Windows might be squirreled away in Cortana's settings - occasionally she gives me notifications about having "saved my spot" from last time.
I believe it has to do with this BS.

only if it comes with free SMC and PPG43H repair. If I can’t have that I’m sorry I’m gonna have to suggest a Lenovo workstation laptop that can take a whole bottle of water.
just do like I did and loving spray a hydrophobic seal all over the motherboard
But then the Genius Bar will tell you ITS YOUR FAULT when it breaks. YOU used the hydrophobic seal wrong! You used the MacBook wrong! You’re charging it wrong! Oh it’s never apples fault for using such shit components and consistently cutting corners for prosumer grade hardware!
Calm down Uncle Louis, my 11-inch MacBook Air is only retiring because it’s got 4 gigs of ram.
so yesterday i was at some aunts house, i was walking out of the house when i checked the window of the basement and what i saw was a motherfucking crypto mining rig. And i started to blame them for fucking up the gpu prices.
thank you for this image, it's going on my profile page
The last technician that was fixing my landline cables wrapped it in plastic bag and duct tape to keep the water out during raining. Turns out yesterday it was so hot that the plastic bag MELTED and the wires are once again exposed to the outside elements. No wonder my internet is constantly timing out rofl.
I'm thinking about getting a plastic box with decent IP rating to shove the cables into and sealing the cable entrance with silicone or spray foam, but going outside in this weather and riding the buses that have no AC is a death sentence.
It gets posted on /g/ a lot. Is a good image
why did you ban your old account and only to come back with a new one?
fresh start plus old account was deleted, lots of drama on it that id rather try and not be associated with
missed u bb
This shitty phone repair is gonna be the death of me

Managed to destroy the ZIF connector for the LCD screen because every single flip lock zif connector I ever used was color coded for the black part to be lifted and white part where you're inserting the flat flex connector
It was the opposite and snapped part of the plastic so RIP
On a device like a tablet, Linux is Just Not Gonna Work.
Linux support for non-desktops can be hit and miss. Just get WSL and call it a day lol
Oh Jesus fucking Christ.
My mom emailed me to see if an email titled "[Purchase Receipt] - We received your order of iTunes Gift Card $100 from the App Store. Open the Attachments to more details order" was legit. Hooray, a mom being smart, right?
Nope. She had already opened the attached .pdf before emailing me about it.
I mean if it boots and you get X/Wayland/Whatever your distro is using support out of the box without it dying violently, you just need to put in some elbow grease into getting it to work
If people got Arch running on Nexus 7 tablets so you can do it on some cheap ass chinese windows tablet
Just don't do the mistake of nuking windows/linux partitions because for some fucked up reason, some chinese tablets have the BIOS chips mounted in read/write mode and you can nuke the bios. Happened to my Chuwi Hi10 Pro and I'm still trying to recover it after months of trying.
If it's an EEPROM you could just hook up an EEPROM flasher to it
Yeah but getting the BIOS file and the EEPROM flasher software to work is a completely different story
Chuwi wants me to send the tablet to them for repair and pay for the board replacement instead of giving me the BIOS, and my ISP dynamic IP range got blocked and get dropped packed to their forums
http://i.heykidwannayiff.com/chrome_2018-07-30_20-20-38.png
Also need to build a dedicated box for the flasher because apparently the software doesn't work with Windows 10

Honestly the whole thing is pretty sketchy so if I don't success in fixing the thing I'll just get a new one. It was like 250 Eur (After customs charging 200% fee) with all accessories. Or I might get the Chuwi surfboard because they accidentally sent me the wrong keyboard for the first time. Also don't trust geekbuying, they're pretty shady tbh.
I think a key point is if she bought an iTunes $100 giftcard.
“I don’t remember buying an iTunes card, I’ll check the attachment to see when I did”
I told her to check her bank statements to see if she had a $100 purchase from Apple. She did not.
Virus scan came clean, though, so I guess she dodged a bullet. Also, my dad is also a software developer, technically apt, and lives in the same house, so stop emailing your son who lives 60 miles away when you fuck up your PC.
Ah fuck, the RJ45 connectors I ordered didn't come with load bars.

I think I have a problem because I keep putting my friend's servers into my own Zabbix server to monitor and fix when shit is on fire. All done with their permission ofc.
If they trust me giving me root access to their servers and HYPERVISORS without any backup solution in place, a little bit of monitoring won't hurt. But hey I've got a free WinServer VM out of it at least for maintaining friend's hypervisor.
