Yeah I got: My computer 2 Displays 2 Speakers 1 XLR 4 TRS cables A light strip 2 hard drives All the fucking USB and display cables. Not much I can really do at that point.
Try some cable management racks? I used two of these https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/10200254/ I got PC Display 2.1 Speakers Desk mic Ext HDD Wifi aerial LED strip usb shit fish tank filter heater light 2x powerboards no cables on the ground at all, none in sight but i can kinda understand, feeling all them cables sensually sliding over your toes is pretty hot
If I actually cared I'd tape them to the desk or something, but I really don't tbh. Never really bothered me, plus I'm changing shit all the time and it's already a pain to get down there.
I need a “future proof” phone for my mum as she’s been using a 2nd hand outdated huawei phone for years now. She doesn’t understand that the ui is almost the same as any other android phone and thinks her huawei is the best thing since her blackberry. Was looking at the Motorola one phone as it’s on the android one program, (got a Nokia 6.1 which I love) but open to suggestions if you can think of any other phone which I don’t have to constantly monitor and update for her. Max budget is £300.
Pocophone F2 comes out soon. Looks fine as fuck
Thanks for both your help, I appreciate it. Didn’t know the A2 was one android one, I’ll show her those phones and see which one she likes best. At least if she doesn’t go for either one, I hope it’ll give her an understanding of what to look for in a phone.
I just upgraded from an old Galaxy S5 to a OnePlus 5. It's a fucking rocketship in comparison, unsurprisingly. What on earth do people do with this powerful of a smartphone? I have no idea where to start leveraging this hardware.
Custom ROMs suck if you want original camera performance, so theres that.
Eh, depends on the device. And with Gcam ports these days, it can help make up for the deficiencies.
Not really For example on A2 roms we include the stock Miui camera with it, and in any case Gcam is miles better anyway
Got my Mi 9. This thing is fucking slick, camera is amazing. Only pitfall it the battery which isn't quite big enough imo
I really do think the closest thing to a solution we have for the whole camera situation is the backside screen like on the Nubia X. It compromises in thickness as battery life though. The A80 is cool and all but it regresses a lot as well, like requiring moving parts, and no water resistance.

Good, we don't need 2 cameras on our phone. Keep making those, just put one good camera and make it rotate. Much cheaper to make and lets selfies be just as high quality as the other photos. I hope those things are sturdy though. The way Galaxy A80 does it looks it could break if any of the moving parts gets blocked or forced in some way.
coming soon: double notched screen phone with rotating camera
Yeah but how exactly do you design a case for one of these?
I don't believe in cases so that didn't even cross my mind. I guess keep a big hole at the top.
I prefer the original https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/260169/835fde8f-e08e-469c-b27a-9d00e3a2ed6e/image.png
Moving parts in general seems like a pretty bad idea to me. Takes up a lot of space and more prone to failure.
Depends on how it's done, really. The Mi Mix 3 was pretty genius as it's nothing more than a slider and some magnets.

How's the camera?
Haven't tested it throughly but from the few pics I took it seems better than my old phone (Moto G4) and it takes pics a whole lot faster I'll take some camera samples tomorrow

Remember to make use of the Bixby Routines in the S10's, they can be real handy.
