There's also the quality issue.
Build quality or audio quality? Audio quality is usually just as good in my experience, since they're usually similar quality or even better DACs than you'd find inside the phone to begin with (or it just uses the phone's internal DAC anyway, depending on the phone and dongle in question) Unless you mean bluetooth...In which case, yeah, it's worse, but if you're carting around FLAC files and wearing studio headphones everywhere you go anyway you probably already have a Fiio or something else. 🤷‍♂️
I mean audio quality primarily, but both. Build quality-wise it's just another flexible connector with the ability to break, although I'll admit you're probably not plugging/unplugging it often. Audio-quality wise though all the ones I've heard are absolutely terrible. Like....not even suitable for mid range ($40+) earphones.
Then just use a passive adapter that uses the phone's built in DAC?
Not every phone supports that.
Would you guys say that Android Q Beta 4 is stable enough to use on my main phone? You always see people say not to do it, due to bugs, but I figure it must be stable enough now, right? Anyone here using Beta 3 have any problems with it? I'm just impatient and want to play with Q now instead of 5 months from now lmao
Just got a one plus 7 Pro and I'm enjoying it very much so far. I'm not use to having so little besels that one handing my phone is taking some of readjustments. Though I don't really use my phone for much besides your usual apps like Twitter and YouTube, is there any apps you guys would recommend? Doesn't have to be utility or anything just fun apps that are worth keeping on your phone
It's not stable enough for a daily driver yet, I'd wait till Beta 5 at the earliest. That's when things are gonna be polished up.
I'd recommend Backdrops by KXNT. If you're into swapping out wallpapers from time to time I'm sure there's something in there that might be your fancy. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.backdrops.wallpapers
I was using Beta 3 (on my PH-1) until a week ago, switched back because several file management apps were not playing nice and I had a lot of little issues with task switching, etc. Can't say much for Beta 4, but I'd wait until the RC or just the full release honestly.
Probably gonna break down and buy the OnePlus 7 Pro, anyone got a referral or voucher code I could use? My Discord is Tman450#2406 if you wanna drop one on me, thanks!
What are the cool kids using for a Plex client on Android nowadays? I just set up an Ampache instance on one of my boxes, and have the Subsonic and Plex APIs turned on. I kinda already know what Subsonic clients look like, but I'm curious about Plex clients.
