Seems easier to find an USB floppy drive.
This is the only one I can even find. SATA Card reader PC Floppy Driver Socket Card Reader with 2.5inc..
Well yeah the faceplate bodge thing was my next thought. Though I'd rather just use that adapter you posted (basically what is inside my USB drive) on a real internal drive since that'd be way easier than bodging a faceplate on this drive (which doesn't even work that well)
Looks like I'm going to have to pull apart my BenQ V2400W. The annoying green line is back...
What's the most durable workstation laptop being made now? Something really really fast on CPU with tons of RAM, loads of storage, and more importantly maximum survivability.
Probably the Leonardo DRS MRT104 with a keyboard unit?
Pretty sure 7zip would be able to delete it, works every other time I have paths too long for Explorer to handle.
In person interview with Dell today. NERVOUS AS FUCK

Because the EEPROM programmer I have doesn't support Windows 10 or works with VMs, I need to use a proper Win7 system, but the problem is, that I don't have any free machine to use it with. Current candidate is a linux laptop I have but problem is that the whole HDD space is taken over by the encrypted linux fs and can't be resized via GUI. Do I nuke the whole drive to reinstall Linux and Windows alongside each other fresh or do I attempt to resize the partition and install Win7 alongside it? I didn't really put much work into the current install and I documented for myself how to get the wifi working on it so I wouldn't lose much with a nuke.
the vectorized XP icons are out there in some of the Longhorn builds and they are simply delicious https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/441/ae482958-cf89-4a62-ab15-9d401631f3ad/image.png
The man has peanut butter for hair. Absolutely delectable
Holy crap, the heatwave is destroying my CPU. Granted I have it on the stock AMD cooler, but my 2600X seems to be hitting the upper 80ºCs when playing something like Enter the Gungeon. Idling at about 45ºC. Granted, it's 38ºC outside, but still...
I'd imagine your CPU's fan would simply ramp up to avoid such temps, what sort of cooler are you using? How warm is it in your room.
It's about 36-38ºC, it's freaking 9PM and I'm melting. I've preemptively turned both Case and CPU fans to perma-fullspeed while the heatwave's around, because goddamn...
Do houses not have AC there? That always seemed strange having lived in Florida where you need AC 350 days a year to survive.
Not as a standard no, which seems ridiculous and all but uh, Portugal! Great for holidays and stuff, screw living here. Tbf, I should invest in an AC. They're just so freaking expensive and the installation is hell.
Go for a portable unit. Very useful, not just for cooling the air but also as a dehumidifier year-round. All you'd need is a fitting for the window to put the exhaust port in.
Portables have terrible efficiency, can be quite noisy, and don't go for a single hose option. But if you're just using it for maybe a week or two per year that may be fine.
Our super-hot period typically lasts 2 weeks tops per year, not worth having AC at least over here. The weather is just super crazy right now at least in Europe, because of how the jetstream is behaving. There's a cyclical nature to the whole system and we're at the hottest point now, and it's accentuated by climate change.
maybe powershell would show it: get-storagejob

The TDP seems quite reasonable too considering how many cores there are on the 2990WX
Anyone have good Youtube tech channels with a retro/historical flair? Already subscribed to LGR and the 8-Bit Guy.

Finally got 80x80 avatar size unlocked., reckon I'm going to keep going until I have the correct size to use my old avatar. I almost want to try skimming some lines from the height (it's 80x93), but that feels like giving up so I don't think I'll do it.
