My roommate replaced his 2 Dell T610's with a T420 and T320, our server closet is so much quieter and cooler now. Hopefully now that we're all on Sandy Bridge-E or newer the electric bill will go down a bit...
I'd wipe your OBS settings and start over with the only important things.
Encoder, Bitrate, FPS, canvas size, and audio inputs. Start from there. Sometimes specific settings can bog down OBS itself without being hardware limited.
But Shadowplay works near flawlessly, except for the slight audio desync.
This was a fresh install. I'd only downloaded OBS because that audio desync issue was mildly annoying.
Can you share your encoding options?
hmm

I think the battery controller is gonna need reprogramming after changing those cells
Tried to play Home Sweet Home Demo on Steam when F-Secure blocked it: https://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/w32_malware.shtml

I know it's probably a false positive, but now I'm paranoid. You never know when software companies do shady shit.
Might just me that double extension, but the documentation talks about behavior only.
I am a CIPWTTKT.
I wanted to back up my boot drive before upgrading some parts on my PC but it was picking one of my storage drives for some reason:
https://puu.sh/BsZq8/fd9a61d063.png
So I went to look at the disk because I didn't want to back up 1tb of steam games and such and it wouldn't let me deselect E.
https://puu.sh/BsZsE/56ff1bb209.png
Well I wasn't sure how that got there but I decided it was just a shitty 99mb partition so I decided just to nuke it, as I thought it was its own volume. Not the entire drive.

I weep.
Fortunately EaseUS recovery is definitely seeing all my files (though I fear it will hold my data hostage but I am willing to pay to fix this.)
I tried TestDisk as it is free but it's having trouble with it, though I didn't let the search complete before trying the partition so I'm running it again.

Hours and hours will be wasted because of this dumb mistake.
Reminds me of when I accidentally formatted my encrypted drive when trying to reformat a USB stick..
RIP those SSH and PGP keys.
Can you also try capping the frame rate in game?
i nuked my yubikey containing my PGP key and SSH key a while back
"not to worry, i backed up my PGP key with an offline passphrase, i'll just import that and reset my yubikey"
PS>gpg --import-key keybackup.asc

"oh"
regaining access to my VPS was a pain
This would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Friends don't let friends use powershell.
Went to home depot and got some birch and ceder 1/4" plywood for this enclosure. Gonna look fancy. But since I have more material and this thing will possibly look quite nice, I think I'll expand it to a larger system. Maybe 4x5.25 and let it sit on my desk proudly.
Wish I had a tablesaw, but hopefully my circular saw skills are still up to snuff
is that an internal Zip drive?

Think I got a design I like. Expanded it to be 4x5.25 incase I want to add my 3.5" Harddrive dock as well. One 120mm fan will fit right there in the back. Will order the PSU to do some final spacing to make sure it all fits and will post pictures of the thing as it comes together if interested.
Yes the PSU is the right way around. Long sides have the ports.
The Method organization was supposed to be streaming from Red Bull's Gaming Sphere today in London, sponsored thing, they had the whole space reserved to them, had some streaming PCs brought in with Elgato capture cards etc. to make sure everything would be as smooth as possible.
The Internet at the location apparently isn't good enough to support multiple streams. The space is right in the middle of London and they can't get Internet that can handle 3-4 streams doing 3.5Mbps each? Jeez.

LTE in the middle of London? Don't know, never been anywhere that populated, but it doesn't sound like a good option.
Turns out ONLY Slovakia and Czech republic still uses some backwards ass legacy identification system with the new SEPA european standard payment system that is incompatible with any kind of non-Czech or non-Slovak banks. Now because I ditched my slovak bank for having super retarded fees and having disaster levels of bad internet banking, I switched to N26. Because of this, I'm kinda boned and can't pay for my bills lmao
The Slovak Banking Association has a doc how to use the variable symbols, where you just slap "/VSxxxxxxx" in the bank transaction note field with a non-supported bank, but I am not sure if it will work or the money will bounce back and I'll get charged late payment fee
If I have to reopen my old bank account to just pay my bills I am gonna be PISSED
I'm just going to join the rest of the WoW community and blame it on the fact they had Rich casting it.
Does anyone have any FTP client recommendations? The only stipulation is that is needs to support SFTP, as well as Putty key agent storage. Filezilla has been my go to for years, but I am getting tired of it not going anywhere and the developer being a manchild to users.
WinSCP for daze
I mean we just use 3 LTE modems at my work for getting the TV trucks video back to homebase. Whoever was organizing it had no idea what they where doing.
God, even on the grey market Win10 Pro keys are expensive.
Why can't I just be cheap 😭
They should only be ~$40 USD. Which is much better than retail pricing.
Much better, but I am but a poormun
Win7 Pro keys should (should) still activate a copy of Win10 Pro
Failing that, you can always just look into piracy
I can confirm that it still worked last week with OEM keys
Windows 10 setup just gobbled the key up like it was a windows 10 one
I'm pretty sure I just bought one for like $7 the other day?
What about this?
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Professional 32/64bit Genuine License K..
Better than dealing with Java 6 application with bunch of inter-operating components written by some smart Russian who left behind no documentation and source code, and you have to fix the myriad of NullPointerExceptions that somehow started appearing in production because DB admins decided to update the Oracle DB or something and all you can do is decompile the client component and can't even get a network capture or anything and DB admins are too stupid to answer your questions and "security protocols" require you to get permission from 3 hundred people before you can literally do just like fucking anything.
This is what I'm dealing with right now.
What the actual fuck verge:
