The VID and PID are set by the USB stick's controller, I have no idea how you've gone and cloned it to begin with. You might be able to fake it on the Windows side with devcon, but that doesn't change the VID and PID on the stick itself, just what Windows reports back to software asking for it.
If the hacked VID/PID isn't vital to the cloned images success OSFClone will do what you need if the hacked PID/VID IS Vital that can also be done however it's far less easy (atleast the ways I'm aware of)

Didn't realize my Wraith Spire would prevent my 2600X from hitting the upper ranges of XFR2. Unfortunate.
It was worth a shot, but they are dead as dead.
Woohoo! Comcast has now cold-called me TWICE to tell me my modem is out of date. Time to add 1-800-XFINITY to the phone blocklist.
F
I mean you do realize that if you're on an older version of DOCSIS you do actually pull their maximum performance down, right
How old is your modem?
To be fair, if they cared, they'd replace it out of their own pockets instead of trying to get him to pay for a new one My outside impression of Comcast makes it seem they couldn't care less for performance anyway
if you buy your own modem, it's not their responsibility
Might just need some more case airflow
That shouldn't be an issue. I have a Meshify C and 2 140mm intake fans. Maybe I'm just overestimating how easily it should boost to 4.2GHz. It can boost to 4.2 in short spikes but only boosts to 4.0 under sustained load, even whole holding steady at 75-80C. Or maybe I somehow applied thermal paste incorrectly. I only wiped the stock paste off with a dry paper towel, I guess that could be affecting it.
Ryzen prefers <68C temps for its highest boosts. Most people get more mileage out of their Zen+ CPUs by modifying the P-state and offset voltage, but you'll have to look up how to do that on your specific mobo.
jeez, I guess I need an aftermarket cooler then, because my Wraith Spire never goes as low as 68 under load.
What do you all think would be a better project for two people living together and needing gaming rigs? a) Threadripper 2950X/Multi GPU based PC using unRAID to use it as 2 separate PCs (1 CPU 2 Gamers sorta thing) b) 2 Wallmounted PCs above the person's monitor with a shared water cooling loop, mounting the reservoirs and rads in between the two systems.
Are you trying to be Linus? I mean A if Gen 2 Threadripper boards have good IOMMU groupings.
What's the opposite of a Good Idea rating?
i have an insane idea, hear me out build two computers
I just wanted a fun build for a permanent setup, it's almost like people enjoy doing these things
It's impractical and I'm sure most people are going to tell you that. If you were aware of that (and I'm sure you are if you're up to do this) perhaps it would have been better to add you're aware of the complexity.
Do you really want a gimmick project as both of your daily driver, though? I won't deny it's a fun project, but you're gonna regret it the moment it breaks down when you just want a computer to use
If only I too could have one part break and take out two people's rigs at the same time
Gimmick builds are cool, but I wouldn't use one as my sole computer.
Basically if you make such a gimmick also expect to have two normal computers on standby for if and when something breaks.
I'll be kind of honest here. When was the last time anyone actually had a part break on them that prevented them from using the computer the same day? If he wants to do the 2-in-1 virtualized thing, I say go for it. It's a much better option than the linked reservoir idea.
I feel like a linked reservoir is just asking for problems.
Enjoy troubleshooting more often than you actually use the computers
Y'all are no fun
I mean by all means he could do it for funsies; we're all just informing him that it's a terrible idea to use a gimmicky build as a daily driver.
