Day whatever since the absence of homegroups. I tried setting up ftp, whitelisting all of my local ip addreses, port forwarding, everything. I fucking give up, i guess i have to transfer files via USB like a fucking neanderthal.
Counting up two years of just using SMB here, like a normal person
network file transfers on windows are annoying because I'll feel like one time I'll spend 20 hours trying to get it to work the next day everything just works again and I never know why it works or doesn't work.
your first mistake was using Windows
I'm going to (hopefully) be doing IT for Boeing now. Neat
I've always found the E series to be fairly disgusting, at least back in the haswell days.
My dad has a home domain and file server set up in his house. He even set up a VPN. I went and downloaded their entire music library the other day

That would be a really cool idea to display the error codes from those higher end mobos. Then you could do some wild steam punk build.
I thought the same thing! It's shame my mobo doesn't have that or I would have. Instead this is going to show intake air temp.

POST cards my dude. Multifunction LPC That said, using the Nixies for temperature is a far better idea. Could probably even write some little Arduino thing and pipe temperatures into it over USB, then feed that into whatever is driving the Nixies.
Trying to figure out what I can tweak, this is a good start. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/109699/eadd46dd-50ec-4cf0-a882-29fab42f8df5/Support.PNG
How did you do 15 GB of RAM?
1gb is allocated to the iGPU

What's funny is setting up a Samba share was way easier than any of my forays into trying to share from Windows to Windows It's sad when Linux does SMB better than Microsoft
Does that mean we have another PNW facepuncher
Current update. Have 2.7KWh of tested cells so far. Another 120-150 cells which handled my drain test and need to be capacity tested. Annnnd.... have another ~700 in the mail. 🙃 I'll have plenty of cold drinks when the hurricane comes.
WindowsCorp. Reconnecting to the world.® it just needs a logo
So how's the APU Level?
Well I spent half the day seeing if I could allocate more RAM to it, got bounced around to a bunch of departments but after I got transferred to Data Security of all places I finally found someone who at least understood my question. He couldn't answer it though, so I finally just directly emailed our Dell rep to see if she could get with someone who understood how APUs worked. Running like a champ though, even with just the 1gb of VRAM. Blows the i7 in the normal 5490 out of the water so far and is ~$300 cheaper configured spec for spec.
Nah, we're both still trapped in a tornado.
Baffling things to write in your patch notes: * Fixed a potential XSS flaw if a malicious but stupid adversary gained control of the source code repository, but only used it to make evil commit messages. Go on and guess how that came about, and how I spotted it to fix.
Don't come here if you enjoy breathing https://i.imgur.com/z7YfvX6.png It's a little better today, but this was Wednesday (and it's supposed to be back this weekend)
Last year was waaay worse down here in sw Washington with the whole gorge being on fire.
Fortunately not that bad, but I could see the haze at 100 yards
Please teach me, all I want is for a couple folders on each of my networked PCs to be visible and usable by all the others. Windows 10 took away a bunch of features to try to get people into Win10 and it sucks.
We pushed to have new POS deployments running Windows 10 to avoid the bullshit we currently have due to XP still being a thing (look at all these nice things in .NET 4.5+ we can't use!) despite the vendor's objections to it and constant suggestions to just use Windows 7 images. Anyway the package relies on homegroups in some way or another, can't wait for everything to fall the fuck over once that gets removed and the POS can no longer talk to the pumps and it all goes to shit. The joys of having retail as part of your software package. Don't do it kids, it's never worth it.
A windows 10 update removed the ability to join new home groups, but existing ones are still respected, thank god.
