I can also vouch for the DS1054z. With all the extra features unlocked and the latest firmware it mostly does anything you would ever need for hobby stuff. The only bad things I can say about it is: The fan is quite loud. The FFT function is not worth using.
The fan being loud would worry me, but I wouldn't work on it when I'm streaming or anything.
You can always re-finance in a year or two for a lower rate and APR. I pay $422 on a base model cruze, same situation as you. No credit history at all.
Speaking of lower rate, dealership did me a solid and found a place with a lower rate, going to go read everything tomorrow.
Y'all need some credit, yeesh.
I couldn't even get a credit card until like five weeks ago when I got my new job, I didn't make enough money
Had no use for it before I moved to Arkansas. Can't buy coke with a credit card.
Explorer glitched on me and it actually looks cooler. https://i.imgur.com/UF8rZ4N.png
All I ever did was buy monitors and graphics cards on credit and I'm above 750. I don't know where my luck comes from.
I have no idea what my credit score is. I don't have any credit cards, I've paid off my student and car loans, I rent instead of buying a house. The only time I was ever late on a payment was when the landlord forgot to run my auto-pay. The last time I checked my score was like five years ago and I want to say it was in the 800s? I am simultaneously really good, and really bad, at adulting.
You know computers? That thing is nothing but a computer with a custom case and some special I/O, so you can just swap that fan out for any fan you'd preferr ;)
So can I slap a h60i on it?
Yes, but there is only a case fan in it per default, so that would be a pretty extreme mod.
AFAIK, freecreditscore.com and then pay attention through the entire thing to avoid them upselling their own service. I've understood from Americans that it's a good idea to check that even if your finances are doing well, because it'll reveal stuff like someone stealing your identity and opening up a new line of credit with it, and then that fucks up your score, so you spot it then.
My gen1 surface still holds up when I'm not eviscerating it's battery with Javascript. Window's touch integration doesn't feel all that shit these days, but having the pen input really helps because I would not be able to use that thing with a finger 100% https://twitter.com/Scrxtchy/status/890219308374040578
i just learned a valueable lesson. NEVER EVER delete your boot folder, especially when it's on another non-boot drive took me an hour to fix it (download windows) and 5 mins to type in some commands.
I haven't had to fix a Windows bootloader in years, is it still the same dance with bootsect.exe?
What the fuck? We have McAfee Drive Encryption on all of our computers at work, and before that had McAfee Endpoint Encryption. We've only recently switched to Bitlocker on our Windows 10 installs because our newer Smartcards for whatever reason aren't able to use a PIN with MDE. Somehow, this lady calls in who has been here for over a year and has never seen the MDE screen. I've been here for less than two months and I've seen it like 50 times. Does she never fucking restart her computer or something? What the christ.
Win 10 Pro has just declared to me that it's no longer activated. Upon troubleshooting, it tells me with a straight face that the licence i've been using for the past 3 years is somehow now a Win 10 home licence and that i'll have to re-format to Win 10 home to restore my licence. What the hell is going on with that? anyone else had similar issues? I have no idea how to aproach this, i can't even remotely imagine having to deal with Microsoft support...
Same issue after an unexpected shutdown (lost power) I installed picokms instead of dealing with it.
If they're a user, they're a liar. That's the rule, and it's never wrong.
Windows 10 suddenly deactivated Appears to be a known Windows issue, they advise doing nothing and waiting for the fix. They say it's something to do with a failed license server, but I suspect that's lies.
Just didn't want to open something like that up from the start.
Same issue here. First it started with work computers suddenly getting deactivated and then it got ridiculous when fresh installs of Win10 Pro with the license in the bios being for Pro refused to activate and showed that the key is Windows 10 Home. Strong urge to Pico it instead of dealing with microsoft tech support.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is targeting everyone who took the free upgrade when offered. It's either gonna end up being "it's outta our hands, you'll have to buy a new licence." or "It's an inherent consequence of us winding down support for Win 7 and 8 that the licences will cease existing. we strongly urge you to contact your favourite Microsoft reseller to acquire a new licence at favourable rates." I'm not entirely expecting that out of them, but i wouldn't be surprised at this point either.
Today we remodeled our kitchen. Tonight I saw a few weird flickers and graphical glitches on my laptop. I hope that it survives a few more months, as it only has an IGP (i3-4000m, HD4600) and I need to use it for school. A pretty bad moment to notice that, but I hope it was temporary or not caused by a hardware issue, even though that's unlikely.
It's fixed now. Re-run activation.
Speaking of chromeOS, i managed to get hold of an ARM chromebook and i'm really liking the snappiness of it compared to windows Shame it can't do android apps on this laptop. HP chromebook 14 G3 if anyone's interested.
there we go!
Co-worker is selling me his GTX 1060 3GB for 150 Eur, which is actually pretty cheap, since the cheapest 1060 3gb one here is being sold for 250~ and the 6GB models are 350 Eur and up. Considering that GTX 1060 6GB is basically half of my paycheck, it's a good deal for me actually.
