• Microsoft Store 'Downloads' page won't load

I bought Forza Horizon 4, shut down my PC during the download (I tried to pause the download and it didn't so I was like whatever). Now the download won't resume: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107253/1184cc13-ce2d-4af0-b7a3-20451a92b201/image.png The Downloads page won't load: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107253/a98820c9-dfec-4fe7-894d-87d83ca711ff/image.png And the Download button appeared on the app page: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107253/9343d8fe-e5c8-402d-8866-97272b37a49e/image.png I hate this fucking Store app. I've tried the wsreset.exe thing but besides that not much.
Try deleting the downloaded files as they currently might be corrupt.
I've rebooted and that helped! Onto the next problem because obviously just downloading the thing you spent almost a hundred euros on is a very complex task for a billion dollar company. Download page loads, etc. etc., but now it just won't even download. If I download it from the store page I can pick a drive just fine but then it just stays like this: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107253/9b38ce92-42d2-4619-b541-129cc2680d96/image.png Going to another page resets this. Initiating the download from My Library also lets me choose a drive but then it stays like this: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107253/197df009-de13-4581-8a22-5b68b594ad6e/image.png Yep, install button gone.
You can try reinstalling the April Update from here or find the specific updates you need through their update catalogue. Download Windows 10 https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=windows%2010%20version%201803 If you use the second link, they specific build you are looking for is near the top (KB4100347) x64
You selected the error code, did you search and debug it? https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-update/windows-update-problem-error-code-80080008/de8114b5-1487-4b31-9b28-f11974718df1
Thanks for the responses everyone! I've fixed it in the meantime but i'm sad to say I don't exactly remember how. I fixed the Windows Update thing by killing the service through PowerShell, stopping it via the Services window and then starting it. That made me able to update to the latest version (in three goes none the less). After that I still had many issues. The original issue came back, and after some rebooting and wsreset.exe and sfc /scannow *again* it got fixed, and got replaced by the download increasing and increasing, up until the point it was at 120gb for the 64gb game. I just let it run because the progress bar did actually increase and voila, after multiple mid-download errors and retries it now finally works and I can enjoy the game. Still pissed the Store is such a piece of shit but hey I can finally play my game now!
I've felt worse pain. One time windows update refused to download the next Windows update. Basically just spat out a filed not found error every time. After months of debugging, a few confused Windows engineers. I solved the issue by building my own windows update package with some Russian scripts. If the troubleshooters actually helped (they don't), many of these problems could be fixed easily. But there's so many cases that people have that does make doing so a really hard task
