Oh great. Fanboyism over browsers.
Oh great. Fanboyism over browsers.
But chrome is better in every single way, and you have no proof otherwise.
so, that's what you think? you can back that up? because I can back up my non-moronic opinion. with an image i've already posted.
It was just an idea. I didn't even try to compare, I just remember when I used Chrome that it was beautifully animated. And it felt really smooth to me.
You were acting like you had proven it to be slow rather than having a (misinformed) hunch
I would go chrome, but the ads, the horrible, horrible ads.
I was defending Firefox from the bashing this thread was giving it. I actually really like Chrome, but when people say things I don't agree with, whether it is just a hunch, true or false, I speak up. If I'm wrong, someone can correct me. I don't mind. I just didn't expect belligerent comments for it.
It's ok.
It's not ok. Look shit up before you back shit up with false claims. [editline]09:46PM[/editline]
I would go chrome, but the ads, the horrible, horrible ads.
what ads?
I used to use it but I couldn't have addons and stuff like on firefox [editline]07:51AM[/editline] If you can give me a few good reasons to switch back, I will.
It's not ok.
:(
what ads?
Hell I didn't even claim anything, just that I thought that maybe Chrome seemed faster because it was smoother. It seems I'm wrong, what's the problem?
:(
There's an adblocking extension for Chrome, y'know. And it's actually better than Adblock Plus. [img_thumb]http://img.imagedash.com/FDSp.png[/img_thumb] :v:
Point me to the light, Lyoko.
:(
i have never, even once, cared about online ads.
They annoy me with a passion.
I would like to see some kind of addon system anyway.
Uhhh. First, you need to get the latest development build of Chrome. Just look it up, you should be able to find it. Second, get AdSweep from http://adsweep.org/. Third, restart Chrome after installing it. Fourth, enjoy browsing without ads! :D
You don't have to go to sites with ads.
Thank you <3
You're welcome. :3
I don't get it, why are you idiots arguing over one being slightly (but totally unoticably) faster than the other? pick the one you like and shut the fuck up. oh fuck i bumped it
Actually Chrome is rather noticably faster.
Yeah I noticed that on Windows, it opens instantly. [editline]11:27PM[/editline] I jsut love all of the Firefox add-ons I have. If Chrome could replace all of them I would switch.
Rusty Peacemaker and all other benchmarks for a browser are stupid. Peacemaker is heavily java based, chrome has the fastest engine for that. It doesn't test many other important things. I need my browser to be stable, not leak memory, and be able to handle lots of tabs. Most browsers can do this, it up to what you like in a browser after that. Mostly UI based. I don't care what people use, as long as its not IE6. Go use what ever browser you like.
IE5 is funny.
I didn't stick with chrome because of: 1. The lack of privacy, it doesn't let you choose to save history, show recent searches and stuff. You have to delete it manually. 2.Not customizable enough (yet anyway).

[editline]05:58PM[/editline] There isn't a block this image/element option from what I can see. It blocks some ads so I guess it's good enough to use again then. [editline]06:00PM[/editline] The only thing I have to dislike about chrome now is that I can't put it on another hard drive. It has to be in my appdata folders from some reason.
You don't need add block with chrome, it has a built in one, which is better, not only because it's built in, but because it's just better. Make sure you get the Dev version (are on the dev channel) so you get updates every week, instead of quarterly.
except it doesnt block google ads
Point me to the light, Lyoko.
Phhbt that show died. On the mac side, even in fucking crossover (windows inside of a mac) chrome loads faster on opening, and loading pages. But since i'm on a mac, I don't want to have to open it crossover every time. Which is why I use FF until I get my own PC. Then it'll be chrome.
