I may have got it for free and use it on the Rogers pay as you go network. Though fuck it. When it takes 45 seconds to render a web page, I mind as well eat it. Also, fuck needing a BIS subscription/data plan to download apps.

At the very least, I can drop $3 and get 20 MB of data for a day from rogers, then tether it to my netbook to use IRC/Email/Web browsing with images disabled when I'm in the middle of nowhere.

My father used this for the past 10 years until we switched to Verizon. The damn thing would never die, regardless of how it was abused and dropped (my father is an auto mechanic) and had the original battery. Although it could only hold a charge for about 12 hours though before he decided to retire it.
