I know but I'm in the mood to crossfire. But I still just want to use 6GB. Do you have a suggestion for a mobo that can crossfire?
Overkill is pointless. You can max out WoW/CSS for a build that uses half your budget, but instead, you want to waste all your money on a high-end computer that what you do, won't fully utilize. Unless you do anything else that requires a lot of resources like rendering, you don't need an overkill system.
I do 3D Rendering and Modeling. o_O
Oh. You didn't state that in the OP :v:. >1450 build >Max out WoW & CSS
I know, I forgot to mention it v:v:v
I do 3D Rendering and Modeling. o_O
How much? If you do a ton of rendering, replace the 955 with a 1090T. Or replace the motherboard with a LGA 1366 one and get an i7. The you should get 6GB RAM. You should've told us earlier that you do rendering.
xD, I know. I don't do a WHOLE lot, but I do some. I make some models for servers, animations, ect.
I sense the fact OP is lying to get his high-end components Or it's just me. [editline]10:56AM[/editline] Even if he did some rendering, like he said, it's purely occasional, it would be pointless for buying 1090t or i7 right now.
I don't need i* series.
For $1500, I'd personally go with i5-750 & 5850, at-least you'd have some future proof and be able to play upcoming games decently.

What's wrong with them. You don't need a very high end CPU for occasional 3d modelling. If you really don't want an intel, get a 955. And why would you want to brag about your pc? You're like "herr give me a xfire built so i can brag about it even if it's pointless" also do people mind to put their wishlist on public so everyone can view it without logging in. My own personal suggestion is get an i5 750, 5850, 4 gb of ram and you'll have a nice pc that can handle most things on high without reaching your budget.
with a $1500 build you could run about anything maxed.
Anyone put that together?
But why do you want it 100 plus? Your eyes can only see 60fps (...)
:frog: No. We don't see in frames, also I can notice a difference between 60 and 75 FPS (tested by switching back and forth attempting to notice a difference) It's not a big difference, but you can notice it. I also know that 120FPS is a very noticeable from 60FPS, though i haven't tested this myself as the maximum refresh rate of my screen is 75Hz. [editline]02:49AM[/editline] Most screens have 60Hz as a standard, and 75Hz if you go below the native res.
Cool story..?
