What are you talking about? Mozilla 0.9.5 was in 2001. Tabbed browsing came out 4-5 years before that.
1996? Uh
1996? Uh
Approximately, I don't remember the exact year. It certainly wasn't 2001.
I wish....
You're running on an operation system that's last release was in 1994? Are you from the past?
You're running on an operation system that's last release was in 1994? Are you from the past?
No, but his brain lives in the past, pretty sure.
Firefox is now trying to rip chrome off as well?
It needs a new target now that IE has been completely stolen :downs:
Mozilla still mentions 4.0b12 on the Firefox site, there's no release notes page for 4.0rc1 and this page says it's "not quite ready yet". Welp.
Wow, in all the time it took beta testing Firefox, they could have released 4, 5, and 6 by now. :v:
Wow, in all the time it took beta testing Firefox, they could have released 4, 5, and 6 by now. :v:
Does a number really matter to you that much
Does a number really matter to you that much
No, but Firefox 4 has been in Beta for far too long. That was my point.
No, but Firefox 4 has been in Beta for far too long. That was my point.
It's okay, they plan to release 5,6 and 7(?) this year. :v: Can't wait for electrolysis or w/e is called. Separated rendering of interface and webpages. No more FF lagging because site's laggy.
Not sure why everyone says that, I'm pretty sure mockups of FF4 were around since before Chrome was out
First Chrome release was September 2nd, 2008. The FF4 mockups came out December 21st, 2009, a few days after the first Opera 10 build was leaked on the net. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline]
If you're going to talk about that, then you must know that all modern browsers ripped off tabbed browsing from mozilla 0.9.5.
lol how can you be so misinformed
Looks nice
Looks nice
many don't like this new UI. I think it should be optional.
many don't like this new UI. I think it should be optional.
It's Firefox. The UI is always optional.

Welp.
Because it isn't out yet. I don't know what it is with Facepunch and thinking that nightly builds are actual releases of milestones. Baffles me. Two other guys said the same thing about b13pre a few days ago.
Well, they've released on my birthday twice. Let's hope its before june when it's released.
Firefox/chrome should be offered to schools, im sick of IE
My college has Firefox. I'm on it right now! It's version 3.5.5, but it's easily better than IE7, which is the alternative. I got the last beta for Firefox 4 at home on my laptop, and did like it, might get the RC on my normal computer and compare it to Chrome.
Well, they've released on my birthday twice. Let's hope its before june when it's released.
QA is currently testing ff4rc1-build1, and if everything checks out it will be released as RC1 today. Basically it's not officially out but if you want what will most likely be the RC (and thus final release), the candidate build above is basically Firefox 4.0 "gold".
I'm not sure why, but Chrome still feels faster.
It's because of the propaganda you suck in about it every day.
On my shitty notebook chrome actually is much slower than firefox.
What? RC1 is not out yet, it's just the nightly build that's out.
It's because of the propaganda you suck in about it every day.
That's bullshit. Chrome not only loads 10x faster on my laptop than Firefux, but Firefox times out most of the time when I click on links, and Chrome doesn't. Sites like Deviantart.com take forever to load in Firefux, but load in a second in Chrome. I've switched, and am not looking back.

Just the actual program loading times on Firefox are terrible on my netbook. Pages don't load any slower in Firefox then Chrome afterwards. Desktop, doesn't make a damn bit of difference because they both open in about half a second all the same.

Well Firefox takes much more time to open than chrome on my computer as well... That's the main reason I changed to chrome, after all.

DA loads in 1.5 secs on 3.6 cached, 5 secs on FF4, 2 secs on FF4 cached, around 6 secs on Chrome and 3 secs on Chrome cached.

I wouldn't think so... I used FEBE to back it up and restore it, every time.
