V8 is outcooled by many other other coolers today. It may have been top of the line back in the day when it was released but definitely not now.

Uh no. Go read some reviews before posting. The only cooler that beats it is the Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer.

Actually they are coming out with a 2tb Caviar black.
It supposedly beats the 300gb raptor.
A lot of benches for heatsinks vary ALOT because of how they test it. V8 is the best at over clockers club whereas on hardware canucks mugen is.

I never said it's the best cooler but the V8 is an overpriced cooler anyway. Horrible performance:cost ratio. While you pay $60 for that I can pay $65 on the Meghalem which run circles around the V8. Mugen 2 is a perfect example of a cooler with great performance:cost ratio. While it is large it still gets the job done.

sure in benchmarks and review sites. @ overclock.net, the meghalem is unparalleled. No air cooler does better on that site. Maybe because we apply TIM right or just use better, i don't know. Its odd that the megahalem does better than any other cooler.
