I mainly see the first design on old beige school keyboards
Every UK layout keyboard I've ever owned all had a large enter key and a large backspace key.
Doing a quick image search result for "UK keyboard" will show you.

Hmm, I just found out my computer doesn't have a PS/2 slot. Will using a PCI card still give me the same NKR?

Get a converter!
They are cheap as shit.

Then the keyboard won't be able to register over 6 keys being pressed simultaneously. That is why I want to use a PS/2 port but I don't know if the NKR will still work on a PS/2 PCI expansion slot because of the PCI's limitations.
Give me one situation where you would need more than 3
When laughing at simpletons who can't do this all at once.

I want the keyboard secondarily for gaming. If I wanted to strafe left and move backwards while also crouching behind cover and changing weapons. I would have to press over three buttons at the same time. It is not important that I get it as 6 keys would be enough but I would like to get the most out of my keyboard if I can.

When flying jets or helicopters in BF3. Seriously, trying to dodge missiles and use extinguishers or ECM's at the same time can use like 4 or 5 keys.

Playing Garry's Mod using the number pad to control a contraption while running alongside it.
It is worth noting that some keyboard controllers have an added delay if you use them with a USB interface (looking at you, iOne).
10 key rollover should be standard
I mean, come on, you only have 10 fingers.
I loved this Model M I got for free from school, I felt like holding a funeral for it when I spilled coffee and ruined like five keys.
It was way too loud, though. Probably gonna get a cheap-ish ($50?) Cherry MX one when I have the money and find a place that sells them.

You can't get any Cherry MX boards for under about $60-70.
Any chance of finding a good brown or clear one for that price, then?
You can't get new boards for that price, unless you want to go on eBay/get a used one.
-nvm this part you can't-

You can really only get an AT101W or something for that price, considering that you'll probably need to import it from America. The AT101W uses Black ALPS I think.
Or for 60 to 70 you could try and get a Cherry G80-3000 with Blues or Browns. Should be doable.
been using my blackwidow all weekend
arrive at work, have shitty hp rubberdome keyboard
I HATE IT
you don't notice how much better a mechanical is until you're forced to use a rubberdome afterwards
Especially really old, worn out rubber domes that have keys that are beggining to stick down at the end of the press.

only time that ever happened to me was when i treated my keyboard like shit
thank god that isn't now
My cousins are not good to their computer hardware. One of them tightly coils and uncoils when he uses headphones. I cringed.
I roll my earphones around my finger gently and put them in a carry pouch. I used to be rough with them but I'd go through headphones so quicky...

Fuck them, explain you have a disabilty that makes you unable to use crap keyboards
I know I suffered for weeks after my Model M broke

I know, right? When at school I have to use these crappy HP keyboards..they're so squishy and euugh..
I wish I could just carry my Model M with me at all times. Though, the thing's a BIT too loud, I'd probably piss off everyone in any nearby classroom during study hall :v:
Strangely enough I have no issue with my laptop's keyboard.
I think it's down to actuation force and how the keyboard reacts when actuated
My fingers feel so tired after typing on this rubberdome after awhile :/
Hello again, I just wanted to thank everyone who helped me. I got a K90 about a week ago and, while it took some getting used to, I love it. It's definitely a step up from my old keyboard in every way. So, thanks again.
I am thinking about buying a Classic IBM Style keyboard from Unicomp. How are they compared to the originals and are they reliable? I dont wanna put $100 on something just to have it fall apart.

The original IBM Model M is much better than unicomp counter part.
PM me if you are interested in purchasing one
My friend just needed to print something out on my computer, typed two words on my Das, and the look on his face just went to a "Oh my god, this is godlike." Proceeded to type a lot of nothing just for the sake of feeling how awesome it was.

How many have you got and where are you getting them from?
