Ladies, put your handbags down and behave like adults (even if you aren't). PS/2 does have many benefits over the use of USB, and yes, the K90 does have a USB hub for you to plug a mouse into. Whether it supports PS/2 I'm not sure though.
I'm pretty sure it does. Surely if it comes with a USB to PS/2 it should support it, right? Unless of course it doesn't come with one.
(By the way, Over-Run was getting on my nerves)
Well sorry for not being all knowing about keyboards

Sorry for being an asshat, then.

I'm not sure what you get in the box but it has 20 KRO on USB so even if it isn't supported by PS/2 it's not the end of the world.
It may get on your nerves but it's best to be patient when someone doesn't know about things such as keyboards. Answering their questions will allow them to learn.
Over-Run. You want a good keyboard. Go for the K90, solidly built keyboard with backlighting and will last you a loooong time.
Usually 20 KRO is just with certain keys or a marketing gimmick, realistically it's more like 6
I know, but still 6 KRO is more than enough for most gamers. Unless they use their hand and face to push multiple keys at once.
I thought that was the standard form of hand and face placement while gaming
You're telling me that's how it's meant to be done? Well no-one sent me the memo! I've been doing it wrong all these years!
Probably how people snipe so good in CS:S. But on a serious note, how the fuck do they do it.
I tried to figure that out myself, I get destroyed if I play CS:S.
Turns out they just know exactly where your head is when you walk around a corner because they play so often, they keep their cross hair in the same place all the time and as soon as you cross it you die.
There is no twitch aiming involved just firing at the right time.
Well I just bought a K90. Looking forward to trying it out :) Thanks for the help guys
The only way to beat them is to play 24/7 like they seem to, I don't know about you but I have a job, I don't play games all that often any more.
Merge ninja, I hope you enjoy your K90.

Depends on play style, a lot of quake/unreal players still prefer twitch gaming so you see them mostly running around the map. AWP campers tend to sit in one spot and just have really good trigger reflexes. Some pro's tend to play at 1024x768 resolution even on large displays to magnify the game. I prefer just playing the game for fun.

Yeah but he was talking about sniping so that's what I meant.

That doesn't magnify shit. I don't know what they told you.
Yeah I get humiliated on CS:S too, meaning that everyone on there is automatically a cheat, and it's a stupid game anyway.

That's exactly what they do, it's more of a placebo effect but ALOT of professional FPS players love playing at those super low resolutions because they think it makes the heads easier to hit. They don't care about visuals, they play all low and the game looks like shit just so they can up their game. Along with very low sensitivity settings and a mousepad the size of the monitor they use to get 1:1 movement.
Pro Gamers are fucking morons.

I play for a sponsored BF3 and yeah, we've all got fairly top end computers (not paid for by sponsors, just our money) and we all play on low. Same thing in Bad Company 2. Definitely makes it easier to see targets... also at long range some things dont get drawn in, easier to flank the enemy.
Picked up a Das Ultimate S for $105 in J&R New York
Got a discount from the Manager

Replacing my Black Widow Ultimate because it wasn't great build quality
That's a fantastic price for a Das. A friend of mine picked one up, and it was a dream to type on, though it cost him an obscene amount including shipping to the uk.
My Das Ultimate Silent should be getting here tomorrow  Can't fucking wait, just hope someone is in when they deliver it
I love my Das
it tanked a half glass of water and still works perfectly
Just got back, hoping it survived TSA and airport luggage handling
[editline]11th July 2012[/editline]
Wow, this is so much more solid than my Black Widow.
Sucks that it is in US layout though. I'll get used to it.

Most mechs use US layouts because the US is probably the biggest market for them. This is especially true for small companies like Vortex who make the Poker, Race and that other one I forgot.

Yeah true.
I actually kind of prefer the large left shift key on the US layout.

I got the silent (brown) version and it's still pretty loud. It's manageable but I dread to think what the blue version would have been like
Blue is way louder trust me lol.. Browns sorta annoy people in the room. Blues annoy people in the room 3 walls over.

Louder. Much louder.
So I'm planning on getting a blackwidow with the blue MX Cherry switches since I can't find the stealth one, but from seeing the above posts are they really THAT loud? Like do they break the sound barrier or something? Because I don't want it to be so loud that I don't annoy everyone in the house, or am I just better off with a non mechanical one in that case?
