Yeah I guess, but I always preferred the blue lights over the red ones, just nicer and easier on the eyes I think. But yeah I recommend the keyboard anyway.
You mention the keyboard is smaller than your prevous, what is your previous? I'm on a G510 and I find that it's getting stiffer somehow over time. I notice when I play games I hit the keys so hard my desk shakes which shakes my microphone and I have to edit out all those little bumps more often.
I'm considering just getting the K90 and telling logitech to fuck their lazy asses for not coming out with something.

Eh fuck it

How loud is it compared to the average rubberdome keyboard?

The reason it's getting stiffer is because rubber domes denature over time and become stiffer. Nothing you can do about it really.

I brought browns and it's still quite a bit louder, you get used to it though
You should try blues.
reds
Anybody here have experience with the qpad mk-50?
Welp, my Eclipse 2 spacebar somehow broke (not from nerd rage) and I want one of these mechanical keyboards. I came down to 2, the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth and the Corsair K90. I want the Stealth over the regular model due to the non-glossy finish but the K90 looks great. So question is, is the K90 better than the Ultimate Stealth?

Holy fuck I couldn't stress this more. The K90. Do not get a BlackWidow, I have one and it's just..horrid, to put it bluntly.
Alright thanks. I actually ordered the K90 like 5 hours ago. I'm so pumped even though it isn't 100% mechanical, it has everything else I want.
I just got a CM Storm Quickfire Pro. It's my first mechanical keyboard and it has browns. Typing feels like sex and the media keys are awesome.

Oh, and it's nice and hefty. I feel like I could kill someone with it if I needed to.
What do you guys recommend for keeping mechanical keyboards clean? My Das keyboard keeps on getting crumbs and stuff in it.

Take off all the keycaps and dust it out, or you can just not eat next to your computer.

I always use the plastic cover that came with my Filco when I'm not using it. If I'm eating (or doing other stuff :quagmire:), I use the crappy Dell keyboard from my server.
how much would a blackwidow (non backlit version) go for on ebay
i want one of those corsair keyboards now
Just to confirm something in my memory, did someone say Red switches are half as loud as browns?
[editline]2nd August 2012[/editline]
If so whats a good keyboard to get with Reds.. I'm Australian.
[editline]2nd August 2012[/editline]
if reds are even 75% the noise of browns.. that'd be good.

The noise comes mostly from the bottoming out if I'm not mistaken. The tactile bump on the browns barely makes a noise, so there isn't that much of a difference between them.
Got my K90 today. This thing is freaking awesome to type on. It's such a huge difference from my good old Eclipse 2. I'm trying to find stuff to type so I can just feel it. OH GOD I CAN"T STOP
Well fuck, my CM Storm quickfire rapid had a short lifespan. My glass of koolaid slushie shit spilled and some of it got in my keyboard and affected 3 of the keys majorly. The left windows key, Z, and space. :suicide:
The keyboard won't recognize anymore, so I'm letting the thing dry out and cleaned up most of the sticky sugar with alcohol and periodically clean the affected switches as they are sticking and slowly moving / not clicking. Waiting for it all to dry out now for a day or two. Wish me luck.
Oh my god it's a miracle! I just plugged it back in today, the lights starting spazzing out on it, so I deemed it dead. Luckily when I deemed it dead I didn't unplug it yet. It randomly initialized and started working! Now the affected keys are really sticky and not tactile anymore, but it's only three keys, I plan on buying 3 switches to replace them.
Edit: Oops apparently double posted, usually they merge together.
Well I hope that your keyboard still works for a long time to come.
Any tips for reviving my IBM model M?
Sadly, It got into a fight with some coca cola, but it battled on through for a few days
then suddenly it died, a few of the keys don't work, the rest do but are a bit iffy
What's facepunches diagnosis?

Put it through an alcohol bath then let it sit for a few days.
