I still want logitech to make a mechanical G-series keyboard and I don't want it to end up like the blackwidow, either :(
Logitech needs to jump on mechanical switches and drop the damn LCD screen.
We had them in school, they're fucking awful keyboards :v: but that's my opinion, you can get them on amazon by just searching "dell keyboard" but you need to trawl through some pages of other dell keyboards
Whats wrong with the blackwidow? I'm getting one today?
Very poor build quality in general, with mechanical switches thrown in for the heck of it.
Whats wrong with the blackwidow? I'm getting one today?
They have 3KRO.
I don't understand these terms. :( The thing is, right now for me the only choice for a mechanic keyboard is a razer blackwidow, because it also does have a turkish characters, and i cannot order anything online. Should i buy it? Whats the pros and cons?
3kro = you can only press 3 keys at once. nkro = unlimited
nkro through usb = 6kro
Which is why you must use PS/2. (You get NKRO even if you use a USB-PS/2 adaptor).
I wish every keyboard came with one
I wish every keyboard came with one
I got one with my Filco.
He was talking about a USB to PS/2 adapter. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Hd2aW.png[/thumb]
Yes, that's exactly what I am talking about too...
Yes, that's exactly what I am talking about too...
I have not seen one come with a motherboard sense 2008.
Most motherboards do..
Not when you're talking lowest of the low end http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157236
How are AT101W's for mechanical keyboards? I could get one at the local electronics dump :s
Anyone have an alternative to this that is not ricey as fuck: http://www.amazon.com/Azio-Levetron-Mechanical-Keyboard-KB577U/dp/B008CXTW5G/ref=sr_1_43?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1347153624&sr=1-43&keywords=mechanical+keyboard The features and shit look cool but I couldn't live with myself if I bought it.

A DK9008S might be perfect for you, though
How are AT101W's for mechanical keyboards? I could get one at the local electronics dump :s
They are an okay ALPS board, nothing fancy but they get the job done.

Someone really needs to redo the OP with a list of requirements (backlighting, macros, ect.) and a recommended board for each.
A Filco. Someone really needs to redo the OP with a list of requirements (backlighting, macros, ect.) and a recommended board for each.
I don't trust you with it you would write 'get a filco' for everything and there would be no explanation why
I don't trust you with it you would write 'get a filco' for everything and there would be no explanation why
I wouldn't. I only write that because people almost never specify anything else. [editline]9th September 2012[/editline] (also what boards are available in which layouts would be nice, like how the only ISO Ducky boards you can get are Nordic)
A Filco. Someone really needs to redo the OP with a list of requirements (backlighting, macros, ect.) and a recommended board for each.
As of late I have overhauled the OP quite a bit, you might not remember the old threads. Plus it is still a work in progress. I would also like to recommend a Filco to everyone but they are not in most peoples budget and I have always agreed with you in the the fact that they are probably the best Mechanical Keyboard you can get.
If you need help finding a keyboard that fits your needs just PM me and I'll help you find what you are looking for.
I also added that to the OP so I could help people individually, but I have yet to receive any messages from people requesting help.
I don't trust you with it you would write 'get a filco' for everything and there would be no explanation why
He isn't the only one, love my Filco.
I just got my first mechanical keyboard today. I got the Razer Black Widow (Not ultimate and not Stealth) and I don't care what people have against Razer...I love it. It is beautiful to type with and I don't regret buying it. Now, Since I am living in Ireland, I would normally be using the UK layout for keyboards, but I got a US version of the keyboard, but I am not too worried about it. I still like it none-the-less.

I am not complaining though. I am happy with this keyboard
