70 < 100, point still stands
Your point does, but not the guy who claims it's easier to actuate blues by accident than reds.
[editline]20th November 2012[/editline]
Anyway, I'm not trying to make a huge argument out of it, I just think it's backwards that he finds reds better for gaming because it's harder to actuate them by accident. I'm not saying that blues are better for gaming or anything.
70 < 100, point still stands
Yeah well fuck physics because anyone with a keyboard can test and this isn't true for most people.
It's pretty hard to just let your body fully relax, I rarely accidentally push my keys down unless I'm tired. Most of the time you're unconsciously not putting your full weight onto your keyboard.
[editline]20th November 2012[/editline]
alternatively, you have a wrist rest, or something else is preventing your full finger weight from pushing down.
The only way to fully relax one of your fingers is to bend it over at the first joint, though you still can't actually do that to test key forces since your hand will still be supporting it.
lol you're putting way too much thought into this. Fact is I rest my fingers on the keys, on reds the keys get pushed accidentally but they don't actuate, blues do because of the way they are designed to collapse instantly after pressure is applied.

My wrist/hand is supported by the desk, my fingers dangle freely. :|

That just wouldn't happen though.

I can't do it naturally, that's exactly the point.
I can do it if I relax my hands deliberately, but otherwise no.
I sometimes accidentally actuate my reds (mostly the 'A' key) while resting my hands on the keyboard. It's almost always due to me being tired however, it's a sure sign that I need to go to bed :v:
God damnit, my QPAD-MK85 broke.
What's wrong with it? Probably an easy soldering fix.
Hey, what would you guys recommend for someone who's beloved Logitech G110 just pooped out? I do a lot of typing and a lot of gaming (lots of FPS) by the way and I'd like a full sized keyboard. I've been looking at the Das Keyboard but people say it gets dirty and fades quickly; I've looked at the Unicomp keyboards which look pretty good and also the Leopoldo keyboards as an alternative to the Das Keyboard. I'd like some click to my keyboard if I go with a mechanical. What I liked most about the G110 was the audio port for my earbuds, USB port for my G35, and cylinder volume control. I think I'd be fine with buying another G110 but I want to try out a mechanical for once, but I just don't know which one will work for me best. Thanks in advance.

I suppose the Logitech G710+ is what I'm looking for...a bit pricey but I'll still consider it.
That just wouldn't happen though.
And why is that? Do I need to record a video of me gaming for proof? (no I am not actually going to do that) Blues collapse instantly, reds do not, it's how they are designed.

By pooped out you don't mean its repeating key presses randomly for no reason do you? Cause the steam beta just fucked up that specific model of keyboard, amongst a few others, apparently.

All I can say is that I wish I knew that earlier...
I have to get a new one now anyways, luckily they're $20 cheaper than when I first bought mine a few years ago. I'll make an upgrade to Windows 8 and get a new SSD/HDD while I'm at it maybe.

I have no idea, seems to not getting any power, gonna pop it open later.

What did you do? Throw it out?
What did you do? Throw it out?
Yep. I took it apart and there were a bunch of pieces from the circuit board floating around which I thought that was the cause of the problem, so I just tossed it into the garbage without putting it all back together. That garbage is gone now...
Along with the other problems it had like some keys being very squishy like 'V' and 'B', one of the legs broke so I had to prop it up with a 9-volt (which worked very well actually), I just thought the keyboard was done for.
I never throw electronics out
too many useful parts

Within reason, I don't have a massive pile of trash sitting in my room, but you get the idea
Well then I do suggest the Rosewill mechanical keyboard, that and the cherry blue switches. Though if not the Rosewill then get a keyboard with the blue switches as they do good for gaming and typing.

Holy fuck that deal
Eugh, 6gv2.
Horrible keyboard.

It's certainly better than a BW imo; and with a price like that, you can't really complain.

Maybe I tried a bad one, but it practically felt like a membrane keyboard.
It was on display at i46 when I went, next to some CM Storm and TTeSports mech keyboards, and they were all so much better.
So is this keyboard worth a damn? i suppose i wont get an answer by the time the deal is up but what ever.

I'd probably pick the rosewill, looks prettier.
Hey everyone, I know you most likely get this question a lot but I'm looking for a new keyboard for gaming that's under £100. I've been looking at the Razer BlackWidow but I know that Razer items aren't recommended for some reason.
If possible something that follows this:
No macro keys
Media keys to turn down volume while in game (Wanted but not necessary)
Backlit keys (if possible)
Unless there is anything that I need to think about. Could you help me find something please? Cheers.
