Is this thing any good? Like is it better than a blackwidow and the other "sorta cheap" mechs also are MX blues (the model I can get here is the SGK-4000-GKCL1, which has blues apparently) good for typing and gaming I personally like the design but I find it sorta odd that it doesn't have a numpad, never used a kb without one before, and ew that enter key
Blues are just fine for gaming, but its all up to personal preference.

I just brought that keyboard. It works and feels great but I just discovered that I still can't fucking crouch and press the F12 screenshot key at thee same time even though it supposedly has n-key rollover in ps/2 mode. [editline]16th January 2013[/editline] And yeah, the logo isn't present anywhere on the visible parts of the keyboard.
Apparently the space bar on the Blackwidow sticks for a lot of people. I've only had it 2 days before it started sticking and not popping back up quickly. How exactly could I fix it? It's got the little metal bar that runs parallel to it, I've heard people say to pop off the space and push the bar back into place but it seems perfectly in place.

That's a more complicated endeavor than I have the time and patience for.

I have 3 versions of the CM Storm (Greens, Blue, Red) and haven't had that issue. CTRL + F12 works just fine.
Using a CM Storm Quickfire here, can Ctrl + F12 in PS/2 but not in USB.
the quickfire is made by costar, same people that make the filco so it's good
If I'm standing (At work we use the terminals/computers standing) i like it flat, Otherwise Sitting I usually need it tilted with the stands otherwise it feels weird.
Just bought myself the G710+. I know it's not perfect but it offers everything I want, I've had all good experiences with Logitech in the past, and I got it a great price. In the end, out of pocket, it's going to cost me $60 total for a brand new one. Not bad I'd say. Should arrive some time next week.
How did you get it so cheap, if you don't mind me asking?
Probably either works at a retailer or it fell off the back of a lorry.
Kind of want a Happy Hacking keyboard. But they're also kind of expensive.
Kind of want a Happy Hacking keyboard. But they're also kind of expensive.
KBT (Poker/Race/Pure) boards are of a similar size and are cheaper, but they use cherry rather than topre.
That's cool that they're also backlit but I hate that they're not fully enclosed around the keys.
How did you get it so cheap, if you don't mind me asking?
Well, I did in fact pay $130 but I didn't count $75 of it because I participated in an EA playtest session that payed that much and so when I do such things (have done a similar thing for nVidia a couple of times as well) I always find something I want or need for my computer/gaming/desk. So, well, $65 out of pocket if not counting what I got payed. It came out to $120 after a 10% coupon and before taxes.
So it was still $120. :P Probably could done better then.
So it was still $120. :P Probably could done better then.
Probably indeed but as soon as I heard about it I really wanted one. The value of something is a very subjective topic.
Strange.. I have 3 versions of the CM Storm (Greens, Blue, Red) and haven't had that issue. CTRL + F12 works just fine.
It was the Steam software not picking it up, the keyboard itself works fine.
Probably indeed but as soon as I heard about it I really wanted one. The value of something is a very subjective topic.
True, but it's more like you could have gotten another Brown keyboard, which is what the G710 is, for $50 less or something like a Brown Das, which is an amazing keyboard and probably built better than the G710.

Maybe for my next big update for my computer I will give it a try, but until then, I'm happy with Logitech and one other big thing is the dedicated media keys. I'm not ready to give those up yet.
Major OP overall coming soon, stay tuned.

I bit the bullet and ordered a Happy Hacking, along with some red keys (red ESC key, WASD). My hands are not ready.
I find them very comfortable, and especially if you're gaming and have your fingers glued to WASD [editline]16th January 2013[/editline] Go all out and get a fancy black leather one to match your sexy keyboard
I have a QF Rapid actually, just thought the Das looks good. Some type of matching gray would be fine for me.
I bit the bullet and ordered a Happy Hacking, along with some red keys (red ESC key, WASD). My hands are not ready.
'better give us some pics man. That board is sexy as fuck.
I have a QF Rapid actually, just thought the Das looks good.
'better give us some pics man. That board is sexy as fuck.
I will. I don't know when I'll get it, I ordered it last night with 1-2 day shipping but I still have not gotten a shipping email yet. I guess I'm going to get it Tuesday, maybe Monday since they use FedEx and they move stuff on Saturdays.
