Try to stick with intel processors in the core i3/i5/i7 line because it makes the process a lot easier and requires less tweaking. Using any of these motherboards:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=6214
would help because iBoot+Multibeast supports them almost entirely and you shouldn't have a problem finding kexts for the different parts.
Stay away from sandy bridge intel processors because they aren't fully supported yet and might not be for a while.
Use Nvidia graphics because there is a wider range of support for them than ATI, and lots of methods to get them to work automatically.
Don't get more than 4gb of ram, it won't work.
Try to install using the iBoot+Multibeast EFI partition method because it's the cleanest form of installation and lets you easily tweak things.
finally, thanks for the help man. ill check out all of those options in a bit.

you are not constructing the thread in any way. all youre doing is trying to discredit me solely based on my name (someone here clearly isnt a fan of rush, my all time favorite band which i was an audio engineer for back in the 80s, which was much much much before your time kid). reported for trolling/flaming.

You're the worst troll I've seen. Just by the way.
With your attitude you won't get any useful responses. Just get out before your massive ego infects the forums.

find out for yourself idiot
tell me what professional movie production studio uses vegas?
The first thing that comes up is saying that FCP is better than Vegas if you need to do something in a hurry, but Vegas is better if you use a little time. You want to do it "professional", right?
