So thats why every time I venture onto FF some people have animated avatars :ninja:
Did you even read what I said? On my PC IE8 is the best. Firefox continually crashed my PC when I got Win 7, and I know it never happened to anyone else, as soon as I stopped using Firefox, the crashes stopped. I like Chrome (I see how fast it is compared to IE8) but it can't bookmark right, and while I like the tabs in the titlebar, I'd rather have some title bar I can click without clickong on a tab and changing from where I was. Safari, I don't really like the look of it, and the lack of favicons on the bookmarks toolbar really bugs me for some reason, but other than that it's solid enough. IE8 is the only browser on my PC which does what I want. I'm not gonna lie, I miss spellchecking, and a download manager, but would I trade it for Firefox again? Nope.

Unlike many people, I've actually tried all the major browsers and have settled on my favourite, instead of being HURR IE IS SHIT AND STILL IS SHIT and not giving the new one a chance.
actually i HAVe tried IE8, and although its faster, its still the slowest at loading pages for me. and no addons (except different types of search engines). which is why i use firefox.
Great. I never said no one uses it. And I've found IE8 is all over the place when it comes to speed, sometimes faster than FF and Chrome, sometimes (often) slower. And it has addons. Nowhere near the same amount as Firefox, and they aren't addons like Firefox. After making that post I actually went and got a download manager and spellchecker for IE8, so now I'm sorted for that too.
Slightly hard to read the text, and it goes a bit too fast on the longer slides. Not a big deal though.
This is useful for people who want an apng avatar.
I wonder if you can view .apng's in steam games... That would be awesome.
You're trolling more than he is, he just doesn't know.
Then he shouldn't have said it.
Argh, doesn't work. Saves it as .apng not .png :frown:
Rename it then.
I'm on mac so I had to split the gif into frames, and use the firefox plugin to create mine :D
If you are going to use a GIF as the source material then what is the bloody point of APNG? The only thing you'll accomplish then is less compatibility and possibly larger filesize depnding on how retarded the conversion process is.
If you are going to use APNG at least use a high quality source.

That's why I don't like that Java converter, it makes animations bigger, basically it converts them from 8-bit to 32 bit.
I have my own converter ready, which makes apng smaller than the original gif, but I can't release it right now. Maybe later.
But generally you're right, truecolor is much better.
I too am on a mac, and I split my gif's with quicktime.
I made mine frame-by-frame :v:
