i think the black styled newsreader could pass off as being 2k-ish, but I don't know anything about skinning gadgets. it's seriously difficult to find a weather widget that still connects to a server successfully let alone one with skinning options

trying to do classic themes on anything newer than Windows 7 is a good way to seriously fuck up your system files. I did it in 8.1 and fucked my install up so bad I ended up wiping the drive and just installing 7 again. not to mention you can't skin the taskbar at all on Windows 10, even with a patched uxtheme.dll

It's not just classic themes, but custom themes.

It's a lot easier to read text when the background behind it is blurred.

Do you have a link to a reliable UXTheme patcher since then?
