You need your desktop to tell you you have 1 CPU?

Otherwise it looks good, sorry
You need your desktop to tell you you have 1 CPU?
No, that's 1% load on the CPU. Wingless messaged me complaining about the same thing.

No clue. Restarted it and it was scrolling pink text wicked fast that I couldn't keep up with.
Also
Mfw I use Cygwin64 and a port for urxvt hasn't been done yet.
MINTTY IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Is it possible to use hex in the config instead of rgb?

Just get a linux distro already
I don't have an interesting dual monitor wallpaper because I usually have something maximized on my primary monitor.

Which one?
I somehow always seem to get lost or fuck up when installing shit.
These are the ones I've tried (and gotten to work):
Debian 7.5 (installed awesome on it but that looked fuck ugly)
Archbang (almost the same as last mentioned. Only that it was easier to use.)
#! (somehow 1024x720 in Virtualbox. Otherwise good.)
Archlinux (turned it off after not knowing how Arch works at all. I only know Debian.)

Im not sure why... But I decided to download a Windows 8 theme and some flat icons for KDE:

More work needs to be done. Such as seeing what I can do about the fonts in certain places and seeing what I can do about the default KDE start menu. I might even try and see if I can use Zorins start menu but I know theres a lot of stuff going on with Zorins start menu as it uses GNOMenu or somethnig which is meant for GTK 2 and not GTK 3. I also need to disable that horrible font glow all together.
Well I guess it's true. If you want to force someone to use Linux and have it look like Windows, KDE is the best DE for it.
it looks like windows 8 with an ugly theme

Elementary OS Freya looks delightful, though. Luna is nice in use as well. It's really great to see a distro where they actually focus on having a smooth whole and great usability.
I just really am not a fan of Linux on a desktop to be honest. I'm more of a "install it and a few programs and just let it be" type of guy. I like the concept of Linux, the freedom you get, as well as the security, but there are certain things that just bug me about having to use Linux on a day-to-day basis as my main OS. My biggest issue, is since I don't have a disk drive, when I inevitably get fed up with using it I need to make a flashdrive installer for Windows or even another distro, and that can sometimes end up being a massive pain in the ass.
If you gave me Ubuntu, without Unity, without Canonical being behind it, and without it being tied to Amazon at all, I'd honestly probably be able to do it. Hopefully in the near future (6 months to a year) I'll be building a new rig, and what will happen to this one will most likely be a Linux-based home server. Which, to me, is one of the only uses for Linux AS OF RIGHT NOW on a day-to-day basis.
Now, there are those people out there that can use Linux on a computer as their main OS, and more power to them. I'd just prefer to not have to deal with worrying about stuff breaking in regards to the software. Plus, I always feel like I'm being a poseur with Linux. Almost a "HURR DURR I USE TERMINAL BECUZ COOL," type of feeling.
i stopped using linux on my desktop because it's just frustrating. the linux community is often quite toxic and backwards/archaic. and, it doesn't have much professional software support at all for my line of work (photography)
os x gives me the freedom to do what i did on linux and just werk at the same time

You mean like ElementaryOS, Linux Mint, Xubuntu or even Ubuntu GNOME3?
elementary OS seems so pointless. it's an aesthetic OS X clone but without the support of OS X
[editline]25th June 2014[/editline]
i mean, i can understand why you would use it if you are already a linux user, but why would anyone advocate that to an OS X user?
But customizing everything to your liking is fun~

Beautiful.
But isn't the term font a little small?
